Spring will come surely, yellow and kind, but to wake winter from her sleep is an odd ambition, while all the flora,all the fauna, all the slow dripping honey lay wait
for the coming of the vernal sun.

I know the homelessness crisis isn’t going to be solved online or overnight, but using gardens to displace humans is just *gross*. If you see these cropping up (ha !) in your neighborhood, I encourage you to organize a meeting to find alternatives ✨🤟🏾

If you see a teacher please hug them or give them any loose candy you have in your pocket or let them cry softly on your shoulder because the 2024/2025 school year was not for the weak 😩 I’m celebrating by unloading all of the beautiful moments that I’ve tucked away in my camera roll. 💕let’s throw a community spin on this trend. If food is meant to be healing, then ask yourself: who is being healed by your consumption?
If someone offers you a glass of tap water when they moved into a home with running water for the first time, is it more healing to drink your own spring water? Or to rejoice in their offering? If your unhoused neighbor’s love language is food, is it more healing to reject their offering? Or let them serve you? Food can transmute its energy! , I’ve seen the comfort of Cheetos to a person who had been unable to obtain them while incarcerated, heal the soul more than a spirulina smoothie could ever do.

✨ @wilhelminamodels is a dream fulfilled! I don’t often post the work I do as a “model” because: most days I don’t feel like one. I have dirt caked so deeply under my fingernails that I’m pretty sure I’ve incubated a new species of microflora. But I’ve found a beautiful home in @wilhelmina.newyork . @willy.social I feel supported to do the work I need to do in my community, to grow food and care for the soil. But I think it’s important sometimes, for awkward teenage Indy, to remind myself/herself/ourself: that everything and anything is within grasp, sometimes dreams aren’t in the stars, but are rooted deep beneath the earth, germinating and waiting, a seed reaching for the sun. ☀️
