Before electricity, this is how dinner got made. Cast iron. Hand-cranked. Built for daily use. Would you have wanted this on your counter? #antiquetools #antiquekitchen #castiron #industrialhistory #cheflife

If you stick around to the end on this one, you get to see if I made a horrible mistake … So the season opener of the @elkhornantiquefleamarket is in the books. This is just my first stop of the day, but I’ve been doing business with Mark and Becky for nearly 15 years and not a single show goes by without a deal getting done. There’s a lot of competition in this business, and no shortage of Chuds, but this show feels like a family reunion. The truth is it’s a business of relationships, and I’m happy to have good ones with folks like this. Maybe the real treasure is the friends we made along the way… #antiques #fleamarket #antiquemarket

Coincidence or Destiny?! 🧐 The fact that this piece of glass was sitting in a barn in Ohio for over 60 years and finding its way to Chicago to be reunited after roughly over 100 years since is was hand painted by an artist is unreal to me! She now sits tall and proud at Official Cuts Academy for everyone to enjoy! āœŒļø Shout out to my bro Nathan Rock from Industrial Artifacts and my guy Lee Shaffer for making it happen and getting it were it needed to go safely 🫔🫔

My brother from another brother Danny finally let me buy this monster! This is definitely one of the coolest pieces of furniture I’ve ever owned. Loosely modeled after the Empire State building, It’s got a ton of secret compartments and secret latches to open each part of the desk and cabinets. As folk art goes, this thing is in league of its own. #antique #folkart #empirestatebuilding

Modern plumbing changed the American home forever. Before indoor sinks became standard, many families still relied on wash basins, pumps, and outdoor water sources. Nearly 100 years ago, companies like American Standard used salesman samples like this miniature sink to demonstrate the future of the modern sanitary kitchen, bringing running water, cleaner homes, and modern convenience directly to the doorstep. #salesmansample #scalemodel #farmhousesink

Before TVs took over every bar in America, games like this kept people entertained for hours. This is a rare tabletop salesman sample from American Shuffleboard Co. — used by traveling salesmen to demonstrate full-sized shuffleboard tables to tavern owners nearly 80 years ago. Tiny version… massive history. #salesmansample #scalemodel #shuffleboard
