Dusk awakens hazÄron khwahisheáš (a thousand wishes). For me this track has always embodied that sense of longing. An oldie but a goldie from 2019, Saanjh (Dusk) is now streaming on all platforms đ

Jor is my favorite part of a raga performance, it has so much rhythmic variety and brings out all the different aspects of the instrument. Here is a clip of jor in the morning raag Gurjari Todi.

@hammondmuseum.art offers a unique sanctuary for Indian Classical Music. I had a wonderful time performing for music connoisseurs accompanied by Pt. Ashish Sengupta on tabla. Special thanks to Satyaki Dutta @satyaki.dutta and for co-presenting this program.
Thrilled to be performing alongside an incredible lineup of artists at the Duisburger Philharmonikerâs @duisburgerphilharmoniker Eigenzeit Festival (April 30âMay 22)!
Iâm especially excited for the May 17th premiere of âThe Indian Seasons,â a new orchestral collaboration with Vidushi Kala Ramnath @thesingingviolin , conducted by award-winning conductor Gordon Hamilton @beato.gordito .
On May 16th I will perform a jugalbandhi with @swarnendu_sarod and @sanjib_tabla . Festival curated by @kamalinimukherji
In the album Senia Legacy I was blessed to join my Guru Pt. Subroto Roy Chowdhury in a studio setting. Aside from the beautiful and authenitic presentation of ragas, this recording gives a glimpse into the GuruâShishya tradition of learning and the timeless method through which knowledge is transmitted.
Pre-save the album on Spotify, out April 18. Link in bio

Afterwards, you can look forward to a classic Indian jam session, in which two improvising soloists engage in an equal exchange.

Eigenzeit-Festival 2026
30. April - 22. Mai
Dear Friends, Musicians and Music Lovers,
You are warmly invited to join us on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at the Hammond Museum for a truly special celebration of music, learning, and renewal.
Our day begins with an interactive afternoon workshop, where participants will be gently introduced to the foundations of Indian classical musicâexploring rhythm (tala), melody (raga), and the art of improvisation in an open and welcoming environment. Whether you are new to this tradition or a seasoned listener, this session offers a rare opportunity to engage more deeply with the music.
As the day unfolds, we invite you to drift through the museumâs galleries, wander the serene paths of the Japanese Stroll Garden, and settle into an evening of reflection and sound.
The Spring Concert and Lecture-Demonstration will carry you into a space where music becomes meditation. Like the quiet unfolding of dawn, each note invites stillnessâlifting the spirit, softening the mind, and guiding you toward a place of deep joy, inner calm, and luminous peace.
