Mother’s Day is cancelled 💐 In Pakistan, some people decided that one day of flowers and brunch wasn’t enough. So they ordered groceries for their mother’s favourite meal. Planned a surprise. Made the ordinary a little more thoughtful – not on a special occasion, just on a regular day 🇵🇰 Because there’s no reason to celebrate the people that matter just once a year. Why not celebrate on a random Tuesday, when nobody reminds you to care? Small gestures. Every day. Using the tools we already have 💡 Once a year isn’t enough.

Nearly 3 in 5 employees experience burnout — and stress levels keep climbing, up from 33% in 2023 to 38% in 2024, according to Aflac's WorkForces Report. Even as companies invest more in wellness programs. The problem isn't awareness. It's timing. Stress hits at 2pm on a Tuesday, not during a scheduled wellness session ⏰ A recent pilot with SOULA, an AI-powered emotional support platform, tested a different model with inDrive teams. Instead of periodic check-ins, people could access short sessions whenever they needed, a few minutes to pause and reset mid-day. They came back 4-6 times a week. Engagement hit 67%, well above typical wellness app benchmarks 📈 Small things shifted too. Teams started actually asking each other "How are you today?" and meaning it. The pilot didn't solve burnout. But it suggested something: when support is available in the moment rather than on a calendar, people actually use it 💡

At inDrive, our mission has always been about challenging injustice and creating opportunities where they are needed most. For three years in a row, we have held the Alternativa Film Festival — an international non-profit project for filmmakers focused on impact-driven cinema from the Global South. Today, Alternativa Film Festival, powered by inDrive, has announced the winners of its third edition, held in Medellín, Colombia. This year, the festival presented 36 films from across Latin America and Asia — urgent, socially engaged stories spanning drama, documentary, comedy, and family cinema. These are films that invite reflection, solidarity, and action. See the winners in the carousel and follow the impact journey of these films.

"Cancel the school ride?" In Kazakhstan, 600,000 schoolchildren face bullying regularly. Most never say anything. And most parents don't notice - not because they don't care, but because kids rarely show it 🧒 The problem is that the conversation never starts. In April, GForce and inlab by inDrive launched a campaign in Almaty built around an insight: the school ride is one of the few moments when a parent and child are actually side by side. 10–20 minutes. Nothing to do 🚘 The mechanic is simple: a push notification that arrives when the ride has started: "Cancel the trip to school". There's nothing to cancel - but the thought sticks. "The back seat is a place where an important conversation can begin," said Evgeny Gavrilchenko, creative director of inlab by inDrive. If a parent gets to school and that question is still in their head - that's the point 💭

Pollution is a major problem in Almaty. Yet just a year ago, 9 out of 10 people in the city had no idea where to check the air quality outside their window 🌫️ Arsen Tomsky and Kairat Akhmetov decided to do something about it. In 2024, they launched the Almaty Air Initiative. Today, this includes 200+ sensors across the city, a public dashboard, an AI powered pollen tracker (the first in Central Asia), and 18 peer-reviewed studies. The inDrive air quality widget lets people check air quality based on this data. 2.1 million people have already seen campaigns built around it. And the percentage of people who know where to look for information about air quality has grown from 10% to 18%. The Almaty Air Initiative also recently invited the team that helped clear the skies over Beijing, China, to share practical approaches to reducing urban air pollution. Leading scientists from the Chinese Research Academy of Environmental Sciences met with local experts to explore what could work in Almaty. In future, we hope when people check Almaty’s air quality, they’ll see the results 🌍
