Launching on Friday, June 5, ‘The Beyond Resilience Series’ will include online screenings, essays, and curated conversations that explore the challenges, strategies, and experiences of creating and distributing work during a time of crisis, specifically for artists and filmmakers of color. The slate will take a global and historical view of films by diverse creators during critical periods of disaster and unrest, seeking to learn from the filmmaker, their community, and the resilience born from collective experiences.

This content consisting of weekly conversations, articles, and collective art projects will be shared via different online platforms including Instagram Live, Zoom, and Medium.com.

The Documentary Lab is an 18-month fellowship program that supports filmmakers from racially and ethnically underrepresented communities working on their first or second feature length documentary film. The deadline to apply is Monday, June 22, 2020 at 11:59PM ET.
