We want to thank @wakemsoccer Head Coach Bobby Muuss for spending time with our full-time staff discussing college soccer, player management, player development, and the current recruiting landscape.
This was an incredible professional development opportunity for our staff, providing valuable insight into the college recruiting process and how we can continue preparing and guiding our players who aspire to compete at the collegiate level.
Thank you @mlsnext Homegrown #Seniors 💙
The seniors day served as a reminder of the impact soccer can have on players and families. Years of unforgettable memories, friendships, sacrifices, and moments that helped shape this group into who they are today. While this chapter may be coming to a close, another is just beginning.
No matter how many years each player spent with Independence, they finished their youth career wearing our badge, and that means something special.
As the first U19 squad to compete in the MLS NEXT Homegrown division, you have left a lasting impact on the younger players following behind you. You showed them the passion that comes with the game, the importance of brotherhood, and what it means to have each other’s backs every single day.
Whether college soccer is next or not, we are incredibly proud of the young men you have become. We know each of you will accomplish amazing things, and we cannot wait to watch your journeys continue. 💙⚽️
