The proposal consists of two public art pieces, which can be placed in two different locations on the Zhuguang campus in Hsinchu. The topic of the public art is “The Song of Bamboo and the Dance of Light”. The design responds to the elements of the bamboo song and the dance of light by creating two structures that echo and interact with one another, the “Temporal Cloud” and the “Spatial Cloud”.
Through exploration and the practice of public art as a concept, it must be more than something that can be watched, touched and used by everyone. What should the existence of art be in the public realm is a question worth dwelling upon.
