’Twas the night before AdaptX, and all through the gym,
Not a lifter was resting, not even on a whim.
The knee sleeves were laid by the barbells with care,
In hopes that big PRs soon would be there.
The athletes were buzzing, adrenaline high,
While visions of podiums danced in each eye.
With chalk on our hands and tape on our thumbs,
We count down the hours ‘til “3, 2, 1!” comes.
