Elopement and Wedding Photography Workshop in Switzerland

Truly fills my heart to get to photograph in the place where I feel the most inspired in the world. 🥹 Forever grateful for the experience @inalpworkshop created for us in the Swiss Alps.
 This day was especially fun because we got to cover the full story. Getting ready portraits at a (perfect) Swiss chalet first, then the ceremony out in Grindelwald.
 My favorite part of any wedding day (and I think the most underrated) is the getting ready. It really adds to the story of the whole day — you get to capture all of the quiet moments before all the big things happen, and photograph all the little details that are going to end up being the things that make you remember how the day really felt. ♥️ a small example of that is how these two were snacking on blueberries together, and now every time they ever have blueberries they’ll think back on this day. Literally how sweet is that! 

I loved being able to photograph this too because it’s the perfect inspiration for anyone who is thinking of eloping, especially if they are wanting to elope abroad. Since I have family ties close to the area, I’ve been able to go often and have loved taking others here for their wedding! An afternoon by Engstlensee, soft light, a little breeze, no crowd. The perfect location for an intimate elopement ✨🫶🏼 This shoot happened during our @inalpworkshop , where creatives came together to experiment, create freely. The kind of elopement that isn’t about timelines or expectations, but about being present, having fun, and creating something that actually looks and feels like you. This is probably one of the shoots we’re the most excited about 💛 On July 23rd, 2026 we’ll be creating a micro wedding at the Grand Hotel Kurhaus, a beautiful historic hotel in Arolla, Switzerland. 🇨🇭 
The idea is really to build a day that your future clients could actually see themselves in. We want something that feels real, not just “styled”. We’re working with @accordparfait.events a talented wedding planner so everything will be thoughtfully put together. We’ll have a vintage car from @auvolantdhier_ , an outdoor ceremony surrounded by mountains, with a modern-vintage / editorial vibe, beautiful stationary made by @papier_drose 💌 And this is just one part of the workshop…

It’s about blending raw landscapes with carefully curated details: flatlays, picnic setups, table decor, styling and storytelling. But it’s also about what happens between the shoots: A cozy mountain chalet, shared meals, slow mornings and evenings filled with journaling, wandering, chatting and editing sessions. Last year I had such a fun opportunity to join a creative retreat in Switzerland hosted by @inalpworkshop . It was one of the most fun and creatively freeing experiences I’ve had behind the camera! Photographing in my favorite place, working with amazing and fun models, and playing around with different lighting and techniques was SUCH a blast! It was truly unlike any other photo situation I’ve ever done, and on top of that I got to meet soooo many amazing, lovely and talented people from all over the world that I adore 🥹♥️

I loved it too because it was such a fun way to get incredible inspiration for how to capture a wedding day, and also lovely inspiration for those planning a wedding to see what kind of light, mood and locations they love! ♥️

This shoot was so much fun because I absolutely LOVE incorporating a water element into an elopement day, so it was a joy! I also got to hop in for a swim myself and it was the best feeling ever :’)
