Imri in Paris // Special Episode 🇫🇷
This isn’t a normal episode, it’s just a raw piece of the journey.
Sometimes, the lines between the character you play and the life you live completely disappear and there are days when you can’t just “act.”
Singing Boi Ima (Come Mom) at the rehearsals for the musical in Paris became too real. In that moment, the lyrics met my own life and it wasn’t just a rehearsal anymore, it was my reality!
Posting this today is no coincidence. Today is Holocaust Remembrance Day, a day when we honor the memory of the six million Jews murdered by the Nazis. Our musical, @leseletlemiel_lemusical tells the story of the Jewish people from the depths of the Holocaust to the spirit of rebirth. My character, Samuel, lost his mother in the camps but found the strength to survive and live. In this moment, the trauma of my character and my own personal loss truly became one.

Today I’m finally starting the journey I’ve been waiting on for so long. After months of hard work, grinding through challenges, breaking my teeth on the process, sore throats from literally learning to speak again (French), constant back and forth travel to Paris, and intense excitement and stress… 🥴
I’m going to Paris for a few weeks for the project of my life and the role of my life. To become Samuel, a character I’ve been walking with for the past two years.
I’m so happy and incredibly grateful for this crazy opportunity. In this profession, things like this are never something you can take for granted. I’ve worked hard for it, and I keep working hard every single day.
Also! I was so lucky to leave Israel 24 hours before everything went completely crazy. If I had gotten stuck before this, it would have been a disaster. 🚀
