They were naturally aged & weathered by the following: three laptop migrations, a hard drive corruption, irretrievable projects, preservation in single files, a total change in taste and the continuous gain of new experiences. Together they sound like every dance music idea someone has witnessed patched & sewn together through whatever means were available at the time. Many places to visit! When the artist is asked about IM 1, she says something like: "Finally releasing these songs is not unlike releasing a bird into the wild after nursing it back to health over a month, but you and the bird are kind of sick of each other at this point anyway so it isn't a big deal." or sometimes, "These things go way back. Can't really remember what I even did there, I'm sure it'll be out soon? Probably" and a big thank you to anyone who has heard any of this in its many forms over the past three years.
