Mission Monday! Small Ideas Create Big Change Many meaningful projects begin when someone notices a challenge in their community and asks how it could be improved. Across different Impactoverse initiatives, like Toonda Innovation Hub, young innovators are exploring ideas that support education, sustainability, and collaboration. These efforts often start small but grow when people share knowledge and work together. Impact is not always about large global movements. Sometimes it begins with everyday curiosity and the courage to try something new. What issue in your community deserves more attention, and can you think of any solutions? #communityimpact #changemakers #impactoverse

Pleased to share our research article on the Psychology of Play, featured with The Green Pillar, and it’s such a pleasure to support the incredible work of Prasiddhi Singh and the wider Green Pillar community. In the article, we explore why climate education can create a “value action gap”, people understand the issues, but do not always feel equipped to act. We look at how learning through play, gamified experiences, and simulations can turn abstract climate concepts into hands on decision making, building autonomy, competence, and connection, the conditions that help learning stick and translate into behaviour. Special thanks to Tyrone Damon and the kids and the teachers on the GameX project who contributed to the research. The work we do is a resource, gamified learning can support emotional resilience, helping young people move from climate anxiety to agency and hope, and the article also covers how The Green Pillar’s Learn to Lead program brings this to life through workshops, a skills lab, and mission style challenges that reward progress and real world application. This perfectly captures our blended approach, online engagement that works for real world action and outcomes. More in the article below. /learning-through-play-how-games-can-power-climate-change-awareness-and-action/ #climateeducation #learningthroughplay #gamification #gamebasedlearning #climateaction #sustainability #impact

As we’ve shared over the past few days, Berthe’s Brush at Bougival is more than a game, it’s a bridge between creativity and care. Through our collaboration with The Cornelius Arts Foundation (TCAF), we’re helping build models that connect artistic engagement with emotional awareness and social resilience. With the BBB game and Ginkgo lab. at its heart, this partnership explores how technology can make well-being intrinsic to how we learn, grow and relate to another, a living part of everyday experience. Each element of this work – from artistic design to emotional measurement – reflects a shared belief: that creativity and nature can be a force for healing and human connection. Together, we’re painting new pathways for how children and communities learn, express, and connect, one brushstroke at a time. In our next post, we’ll share some of what lies ahead and how these learnings can shape the future of creative collaboration at Impactoverse. #wellbeingthroughart #emotionalresilience #socialimpact #impactoverse #tcaf #ginkgolab

As promised... today we highlight the visionary behind the movement of The Cornelius Arts Foundation – its Founder and Board Chair, Marianne Magnin, FRSA Her belief in creativity as a driver of sustainability and well-being has shaped a new model for cultural leadership: one that connects art to purpose, and people to impact. Marianne continues to champion projects that merge imagination with measurable change. Through initiatives like Berthe’s Brush at Bougival and Ginkgo lab., she demonstrates that art can be a framework for learning, connecting, healing, empathy, and growth. Measuring this impact is at the heart of TCAF R&D programme. It inspired Marianne Magnin and Abol Froushan to develop RIZOM – an inner technology and toolbox designed to assess how artistic experiences influence visitors’ mood. At Impactoverse, we’re proud to collaborate with Marianne, Abol, and their teams to show how creative ecosystems can become engines for social and environmental progress. Tomorrow, we’ll look more closely at what this collaboration means in practice, and how projects like BBB are re-defining what “art for well-being” can truly look like. As shared yesterday, Berthe’s Brush at Bougival (BBB) grew out of the work of Ginkgo lab., The Cornelius Arts Foundation (TCAF)’s living laboratory rooted in Bougival and reflected within digital spaces. Ginkgo lab. is guided by TCAF’s 3E Strategy: Experience, Experimentation, and Exchange. With the BBB game, artists, educators, technologists, and scientists collaborate to understand how creativity and connection to nature can foster emotional resilience, especially among young people. Through our partnership, Impactoverse helps translate some of these experiences into an interactive digital world, building pathways for art to extend its reach and impact. Up next, we’ll introduce the visionary behind this movement: Marianne Magnin, FRSA, the founder of The Cornelius Arts Foundation and Ginkgo lab., whose leadership continues to inspire creativity with purpose. #culturalinnovation #artforimpact #mentalhealthawareness #impactoverse #tcaf #ginkgolab #flemingcollection #maisonberthemorisot

Next Up... Where Art and Impact Meet! In Bougival, a town nestled along the Seine on the western edge of Paris, where the Impressionists once captured light and movement, a new kind of creative story is taking shape. The Cornelius Arts Foundation (TCAF), in collaboration with Impactoverse, has launched Berthe’s Brush at Bougival (BBB), a digital educational game that weaves together art, technology, and emotional well-being. Set within a virtual recreation of Maison Berthe Morisot and the Ginkgo lab. park, and featuring artworks from the Fleming Collection of the Scottish impressionists, the game invites children to explore, create, and reflect, connecting with art, and nature in an entirely different way. This project captures what drives both TCAF and Impactoverse: using creativity and technology as catalysts for learning, self-expression, and social impact. In our next post, we’ll share more about the Ginkgo lab., the living laboratory at the heart of this work, where art, nature, and science come together to explore how creativity supports emotional well-being. #artandtechnology #wellbeingthroughart #tcaf #ginkgolab #impactoverse #digitalinclusion #flemingcollection #maisonberthemorisot

Over the past few days, we’ve shared how Esports is being leveraged for more than play, but instead to create a pathway for learning, confidence, and opportunity. This video sums it up best with young people at the heart of it all. Their energy, determination, and joy show exactly why this work matters. Our work together is about proving that youth in Africa deserve the same access to skills and opportunities as anywhere else, and that with creativity and collaboration, we can make it possible. Thank you for following along with this story. In the weeks ahead, we’ll continue sharing glimpses into other incredible communities and projects we’re honored to work with. This is just the beginning. (and for some context, enjoy the video which recaps some of the amazing work of Game X Africa!) #esportsafrica #gamexafrica #haibo #impactoverse #youthdevelopment #digitalinclusion #futureskills

Over the last few days, we’ve shared how Game X Africa and HAIBO-PHANDA are using Esports to build skills, create opportunities, and adapt to real challenges. Behind this movement is a leader whose vision brings it all together: Tyrone Damon. As the founder of Game X Africa, Tyrone has combined his passion for gaming with a deep commitment to youth development and community building. He has shaped everything from Esports school programs and after-care clubs to holiday bootcamps and national tournaments. His vision is clear: South African youth, and beyond that- those across the continent, should not only be competitive in gaming but also equipped for opportunities in the 4th Industrial Revolution. Under his leadership, Game X Africa has already launched pilots in schools, partnered with universities, and is preparing for the Game X Championship 2025. Through collaboration with HAIBO-PHANDA and Impactoverse, Tyrone’s work is about creating a future where young people can thrive in the digital world. We hope that you will support his vision! #esportsafrica #gamexafrica #haibo #impactoverse #youthdevelopment #digitalinclusion #futureskills

Once again amidst all the great work, we have to acknowledge the realities. Across South Africa, many schools lack the equipment or infrastructure to run programmes. Funding constraints make it hard to scale, and parents or educators often need reassurance that gaming can be more than entertainment. This is where Game X Africa and HAIBO-PHANDA adapt, and where we at Impactoverse step in too. Together, we’re working to create more accessible experiences that make sense in the realities on the ground. It’s not about waiting for perfect conditions, but about making sure youth have the chance to start learning, building skills, improving their lives, and having an impact- right now. #esportsafrica #gamexafrica #haibo #impactoverse #youthdevelopment #digitalinclusion #futureskills

Yesterday, we shared how Game X Africa and HAIBO-PHANDA are building spaces where gaming is more than play. Today, we want to highlight the young people themselves. When learners join an Esports club or holiday program, they aren’t just playing. They’re gaining digital literacy, learning teamwork, developing leadership, and discovering that gaming can connect to real careers and industries. For some, it’s the first time they’ve been able to see their passion as a possible future. Some are already competing in local and national tournaments. Others are finding mentorship and belonging in after-care programs. All are proving that when youth are given the chance, gaming becomes a bridge to confidence, skills, and opportunity! #esportsafrica #gamexafrica #haibo #impactoverse #youthdevelopment #digitalinclusion #futureskills

Next up, we’re heading to South Africa to spotlight Game X Africa, working in partnership with HAIBO-PHANDA, a non-profit dedicated to making digital skills and opportunities accessible to more young people. Together, they’re showing that Esports is not just about gaming, but about wellness, teamwork, leadership, and preparing for careers in the 4th Industrial Revolution. Game X Africa is working tirelessly to provide structured Esports programs for schools and communities, helping young people connect gaming with broader opportunities. Through after-care clubs, school programs, holiday bootcamps, and tournaments, they are creating safe, inclusive spaces where learners can compete, connect, and grow. At Impactoverse, we’re proud to be supporting this vision, helping bridge the gap so that passion for gaming can become a pathway to skills, confidence, and real-world impact. #esportsafrica #gamexafrica #haibo #impactoverse #youthdevelopment #digitalinclusion #futureskills

Over the past few days, we’ve had the privilege of sharing more about Toonda, the young people determined to learn and lead, the women building livelihoods together, the artists keeping culture alive, and the realities that make progress challenging but never impossible. We hope you’ve enjoyed getting to know this inspiring community as much as we’ve loved introducing them. For us, Toonda and communities like it are a reminder of what’s possible when creativity, resilience, and opportunity meet. Looking ahead, our hope is simple: that we can enable he gaining of knowledge and skills, but also the confidence and opportunities to use them in ways that make a real difference, for individuals, their communities, and for the environment we all share. We're working to bridge the gap and build pathways where technology and impact come together. In the weeks to come, we’ll share more glimpses into other incredible projects and communities we’re honored to work with. We hope you’ll stay with us for what’s ahead. #communitydevelopment #youthempowerment #womenempowerment #culturalheritage #techforgood #sustainability #socialimpact #innovationforimpact #toonda #impactoverse
