We’re thrilled to share that Sofar is becoming more than just a space for intimate live music — we’ve fully committed to supporting @impact_rw and their inspiring mission. @impact_rw , founded by Enzo Rudaseswa, is an initiative driven by the mission: “Touching Lives with Compassion & Purpose.” Focused on empowering youth through access to education, healthcare, and essential resources, they aim to build self-reliant individuals who can spark lasting change in their communities. Now, when you buy a ticket to a Sofar show, you won’t just be supporting the music — you’ll also be contributing to education, healthcare, and the wellbeing of underserved communities across Rwanda. Over the past year, they’ve made meaningful impact, including: ✨ Supporting Centre Inshuti Zacu, an orphanage for vulnerable children, by providing school supplies to 30 kids and clothing for 15. ✨ Raising 1 Million RWF between March and April 2025, which covered a full year’s school fees for five children of a mother — a survivor of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi living in Gisozi. Their goals for 2025 include: • Sponsoring education for 10 more children • Providing health insurance to at least 25 families • Raising 5M RWF to expand their reach We’re honored to walk alongside them — and YOU get to be part of it too. BACK AGAIN!😁 Our 2nd fundraising event is COMING UP!!!!! We’re going to be joined by @israel_pappy , @ritadeviolinist ,@mwiza.rw , @shejalau , @mikamis_csb and other amazing artists to be announced. We’ll have a mix of beautiful vocals and instrumentals to cruise nicely with🕺🏾 The sole purpose of the evening as we close off our project is to help Umutoni Josiane—a genocide survivor—by giving her children the chance to access education for this next academic year. In 2021, God gave me the desire to find ways to help others and create lasting impact in their lives. I felt I could do more, so I created impACT to make a difference by giving my time and effort. The first time we carried out this project was wonderful. We visited the Centre Inshuti Zacu orphanage and spent time with the children. Seeing the smiles on their faces motivated me to do it on a consistent basis. Couples months down the line; still in 2021, i was able to connect with a family led by a single mother whose a genocide survivor; thanks to an organization called Ibuka. Super excited to see what the next chapter holds for us and the impACT we will leave behind.
