Yesterday I lost my second mother.
My granny, Beatrice Alvarado who would be celebrating her 80th birthday next week.
Itās hard to put into words exactly how much this woman meant to me. She was such a force, she loved with her laughter, she cultivated generations of strong women. My grandmother was an icon, she was everything to us.
I hate that I couldnāt be there to see her in her last moments when she needed me. I hate that i live in a world where because of who I have fought to be means that I am unable to see my family, terrified of trying to cross into my home country. This is the biggest loss Iāve ever experienced and itās made me so aware of our mortality.
I know my grandmother wouldāve told me to stay in London, I imagine sheād probably tell me to make sure she looked good for her funeral (she was perfect). As I take these first few steps into this new world without her, I think of my mother. To lose a mother is something so unimaginable, but I suppose this is how mothers prepare us. Granny did an incredible job of making sure my mother knew how to raise me into who I became because she was Dianeās left hand. I am blessed to have had her. So may she rest, and join my popo wherever they may be.
I ask that you all send positivity and love to my family who is going through the hardest moment. We truly loved our granny, may she rest in peace šļø
Aftercare 2026
Some recent notes:
I am interested in the economies of desire which structure intimacy. How masculinity is performed, softened, and sometimes undone in private spaces where vulnerability is permitted but rarely named, especially as it relates to a trans experience.
This image, entitled Aftercare 2026, is a moment of stillness which carries the weight of intimacy without a resolution. I see the work as less confessional, but more so a record of looking and being looked at from a position which is so often policed or erased. Through these images, I assert a trans gaze that is knowing, one which is deeply invested in the possibility that something real can emerge, especially within systems designed to deny it.
Happy New Year,
Hereās to a hopefully much better year. Let it be filled with excitement, success, and a way out of the darkness that was 2025.

Performance trailer for āThe Loving Smearsā
4min 33sec of my 30min performance.
I wanted to piece together a version of my performance for the purpose of proposal, so here it is. Iāve been reflecting on this work quite a lot recently as I am keen to perform again, with even more new texts. It feels almost wild to me to think how much has changed in the way we see trans bodies since I initially performed this, so much hate in only a year.
A big thanks to @kunstraumlondon@thomascuckle for the support, audio/video, and lighting workš as well as @sissyatflat7
Remembering that evening, it was quite magical to have so many dolls from the community present, what a gift. I hope you guys enjoy this snippet, if you have a venue thatās excited to share it, do get in touch. š
The Loving Smears is a 5 part one woman show which stems from the artistās own experience of gender transition, sex work, trauma, and recovery. This performance acts as a chronicle of trans identity in an ever increasingly consumerist and pornographically identified modernity. Utilizing an autoethnographic approach to art making, The Loving Smears re-presents the artistās body as a living archive, a vehicle through which trans histories, womanhood and the current struggles of gender affirming care are translated. The Loving Smears articulates a multi-layered trans experience, which implicates its social imaginaries as ever morphing, especially now as anti trans rhetoric and legislation seek to conjure a homogeneous public identity.

Still From āA Calendar Of Flowersā upcoming 16mm film
Hi All!
I was so overwhelmed with the positive response I got from posting some of the stills from the first shoot for my upcoming 16mm film A Calendar Of Flowers. Iāve decided to try to fundraise to be able to finish the work and cover some of the costs associated with its production. I would really appreciate any donations towards the realisation of this project.
In a time when trans women are being targeted and attacked for being who we are, supporting work like this allows us to fire back. This work is a testament to the community and I eagerly look forward to sharing it with you all.
Support trans women and creatives š and please share this around. Link in bio š„°

Hereās another snippet of some of my research, a poem by Anne Carson.
O Small Sad Ecstasy Of Love
I like being with you all night with closed eyes.
What luckāhere you are
coming
along the stars!
I did a road trip
all over my mind and heart
and
there you were
kneeling by the roadside
with your little toolkit
fixing something.
Give me a world, you have taken the world I was.
