📣 Shoutout to Immersive legends, Paulo, Oisin, Helen, Robert, Will, Gareth, and Matt for teaming up to complete a charity cyclothon! 🚴 When this crew isn't creating leading cyber content, they're raising money for an incredible cause. 🫶 Last Saturday they cycled for 24 hours and covered over 500 kilometers 🤯 all in support of @harambeeforkenya 🇰🇪 a charity that provides essential resources to homeless Kenyan children. Another accomplishment? Our fantastic panelists Nick Ryan, Dani Fillion and Megan Sexton Lum shared examples of how practicing the elements of psychological capital through Hope, Efficacy, Resilience and Optimism (HERO) has benefitted them in everything from challenging big promotions and securing new customers, to starting a family and navigating ill health. In honor of International Women's Day and World Cancer Day, Immersive hosted a company-wide talk with @thepinkagenda , a US based non-profit on a mission to raise money and awareness for breast cancer research. The Pink Agenda representatives and cancer survivors, Nicole Seagriff and Nicole Corey, discussed their lived experience with breast cancer before sharing a number of stats and tips on how we can each reduce our own risks. Here are some key takeaways from our discussion: 🕵️‍♀️ Early detection drastically improves survival rates: there is a 99% 5-year relative survival rate for Stage 0 or 1 diagnoses. ‼️ Unfortunately there are a variety of risk factors that aren't within our control, including: family history, aging, sex, race, breast density, and menarche. We all have the power to be proactive! Regular exercise 🏃‍♀️ and improved nutrition 🥗 can decrease your cancer risk and promote your overall wellbeing. 👩‍⚕️ Remember to discuss any significant lifestyle changes and potential risk factors with your healthcare provider.
