Created as my thesis in my final undergrad semester, this project began with me writing a treatment for something I’ve been wanting to make my whole life: a music video. I challenged myself to art direct the project, be as detail oriented as possible, and utilize my vast reference pool of music videos and movies to inspire my own. The process since then has been so amazing and rewarding and I’m so grateful to my collaborators and peers who have helped make this vision come to life. More info/process to come soon! Scans from the process book created for SUGAR WATER CYANIDE™, which details my experience from start to finish creating my degree project. It’s 44 pages in length, printed on newsprint, and bound together using ribbons from the video shoot. 🎀🌐🦄
The book begins with my initial proposal I created back in December, continuing to my planning in pre-production, the filming process, editing and post-production, my prep for the symposium and premiere, and some frames from the final deliverable.
This was the final piece of design I submitted for college and although it was a difficult deadline, I really enjoyed having another opportunity to create a process book for my favorite project I’ve ever made. If you’re interested in buying a copy for yourself, LMK! 🪄⭐️
