A lot of the details are in the slides, so here’s the short version: I love small towns (especially in NC), travel days with #vacationdavid, good food, great stories, dogs, history, voting, sports, and finding joy in the everyday.

This has been in my drafts for a while and I honestly can’t tell you why I have been so anxious to post. That said, I am *honored* and beyond humbled to have some new followers, so here’s a quick intro (or re-intro). ✨
I’m a Millennial, NC-born & raised, only child, fluffy-noggined dog mom x 3, open-minded, Capricorn + Enneagram 3, sports girlie. I love to read, talk about history and politics, watch baseball (go ECU Pirates & Yankees), try new things, spend time yapping with my girl friends, pet dogs, travel with #vacationdavid, and daydream about one day owning a boutique hotel in a restored historic property.
I enjoy a dirty martini or a glass of bubbles, tater tots, telling your dogs (and select cats) that they’re baby angels, exploring small towns — especially if they’re in North Carolina, talking about voting, NYC, and finding out what makes people come alive. I don’t enjoy hot dogs or bananas, indecision, or taking ourselves too seriously. Life’s too short and we should *live* it!
Lastly, I once tore my ear lob because I did a toe touch when I was excited, so like, that’s probs all you need to know about me. 🎉

I wore this stunning look last week at @thecarolinainn for my conversation with @kristywharvey — and every piece was chosen with intention.
The dress is by North Carolina artist @michelle_bradley_robertson of @houseofMBR , and my earrings and bracelets are from @kendakistjewelry (based in Raleigh!) — picked up at Dovecote in @fearringtonvillage_shops . I wanted to spotlight NC-based designers, and this look delivered.
My shoes are from one of my favorite woman-owned brands, @loefflerrandall — not NC-based, but too good to leave out.
Safe to say my dress wishlist has been... very active lately with the new House of MBR release. ✨

One of my favorite travel traditions is bringing home a book from a local indie bookstore — IMO, it is the best kind of souvenir. Today feels like the perfect day to remind y’all that North Carolina is absolutely full of incredible shops worth your time and your dollars. Here are just a few of my favorite ones around the state.
