I think this war is just starting. The Defense Production Act was invoked. That signifies long term conflict and global isolation. They’re robbing this nation in plain sight and calling it “national defense” and “patriotism. Trump’s war means expensive chaos that no one can really stop now that it’s started. It means increased presidential power in almost every way you think of. On one hand he’s bypassed Congress and on the other you have Senators (every republican and a select few Dems) who are willing giving away their (OUR) congressional power. Either way, the constitutional crisis is here. Authoritarianism is here. A world war is here and theyre preparing for it. It starts here in Texas. Vote them out. Greg Abbot. Vote him out. School choice is a Separate But Equal scheme and Abbott’s been building toward this for years. The voucher program doesn’t serve Texas. It targets Texas. Dallas, Houston, Austin, San Antonio, the urban centers with the highest concentrations of Black and Brown families and the strongest Democrat-leaning voter bases. That’s not a coincidence. That’s the playbook. Abbott took $10 million from billionaire Jeff Yass to primary members of his own party for blocking the voucher bill. He ousted them for representing the people who elected them. Ask yourself what he’s been promised in DC for his loyalty in Texas. This is Trump administration policy running through Austin. The pattern is impossible to ignore. Affirmative action, DEI, Title IX, voting rights. Everything that created access and equity for Black and Brown people is being methodically dismantled. Education is next, and it’s already written on page 347 of the Confederate Handbook they call Project 2025. Here’s the part that’s really trash. They may use Black-owned private schools as legal cover. The same way affirmative action was dismantled using Asian Americans as the face of “fairness,” they’ll point to Black private school owners as proof that separate institutions can be equal. It reframes segregation as opportunity. Makes Plessy v. Ferguson look reasonable. And Cornyn already said out loud the Supreme Court should revisit it. They’ll drain public school funding. Close neighborhood schools. Buy the buildings back at a discount and reopen them as the “south side campus,” comparable but separate. Kinda equal. Dallas and Houston ISDs are already underwater by $1.2 billion. That’s not neglect. That’s preparation. If you want something to die, you starve it. If you want to hide it, you do it slowly and blame the victims. Abbott & Cornyn are on the ballot. Talarico is running for that Senate seat and he has a lot to prove to the Black community. Stop playing and get in these neighborhoods. This base is not to be ignored. We had a gash in our sprinkler drip line. Fixed for $3 in 10 mins. Some repairs I won’t do, but most things that won’t kill me, I’ll do myself. Some Dallas voters were turned away from neighborhood polling locations in the democratic primary election due to confusion and a decision by Dallas County Republicans to not hold combined primaries.
