❤️ I have always felt immense love from my family. The household I grew up in was creative and entrepreneurial, but I wasn’t sure how I could create a career I loved being my sensitive self. ❄️I remember coming home from my last college winter break and breaking down. I had no idea what to do with my life after graduation. 🧑🏼‍🏫 My parents were supportive and told me try out different things to figure it out. I worked many different jobs until I found myself as an intern at a charter school here in Brooklyn. 😳 Two weeks in, right before the students arrived, I was promoted to 3rd grade social studies teacher. 😓 It is still the hardest thing I’ve done professionally to date. I had a panic attack and burnout. The summer after, I worked with my dad on a new business. I loved the autonomy and flexibility, but I missed helping people grow and develop. 💼 I thought: ”How do I combine entrepreneurship and growth and development?” 🚫 I talked to therapists, social workers, and they told me I needed to go back to school. That wasn’t going to happen! 🤨 The turning point came when I talked to someone with both therapy and coaching practices. She said, “Ben, it sounds like you want to be a coach.” Wow! 🥰 I talked to every coach I could and found a coach training program to view for free in July 2015. I was blown away and signed up two weeks later. In 2016, I went through the training and started my coaching business. I’ve been coaching ever since.  #mystory #teacher #careercoach #lifecoach #careerdevelopment #career #burnout #explore #coach #coaching #creative #entrepreneur #youngest

What you have to offer the world is special! But it starts with you treating your experience, skills, and passions as precious. If you don't, how can you expect others to?

You know that you are doing what you are meant to when you receive an unexpected gift from the people whom you serve. I never expect that a client will do more than pay for the services that they bought, but when it happens, my heart swells. You can have a work environment where you are acknowledged and praised for giving yourself fully to your work. Your current toxic work environment, where you aren’t fully SEEN, is not worthy of your full effort, time and energy. I believe in you and your ability to do great work at a company that genuinely cares about your health. They exist and you deserve to be in this type of environment. It’s WILD to me that so many employers blatantly do not care about their employees. Your time on Earth is precious, and the company that you share your time with is lucky to have you. (The text below reads: “Can’t quite express how foundational you’ve been over the last 10+ months in a period of life we now describe as the most radical year so far.”)

Not everyone has the privilege to quit their job. A lot of folks are reliant on their paycheck just to be okay for the next month or week. And companies like to keep it that way, because then they can treat you however they want. Some of you, yes YOU, have the privilege to quit. And you want to quit. And you may even NEED to quit because of your health. You are the person I want to talk to because the main thing holding you back is fear (your fear is valid). But you have the opportunity that countless others envy, namely the freedom to choose what’s next. So lets talk! #Privilege #Quit #DMme! #CareerCoach #CareerCoaching #LifeCoach #CareerDevelopment #Career #CareerAdvice #Flexibility #Autonomy #Coach #Coaching #Entrepreneur

Does your company care about your family? If you can’t take time off when you need to take care of your parents, your children, or your partner, your in a toxic job. A company that cares about employees has a culture that supports your life outside of and during the 9-5. You deserve to have a full life, one where you enjoy the people you love and can show up for them. Other companies are out there that will treat you better! #TimeOff #family #Culture #CareerCoach #CareerCoaching #LifeCoach #CareerDevelopment #Career #CareerAdvice #Flexibility #Autonomy #Coach #Coaching #Entrepreneur

Cliches are cliche because they have some truth to them. It typically IS darkest before the dawn. I remind my clients all the time that the struggle to a next step in their career is a necessity to get there. As one client reminded me a few weeks ago, “What are the spoils compared to the delve?” It’s been a challenging 6 months of rebuilding my coaching business. But I feel the dawn coming, as my 2nd client signed up for my 6 month program today! #Cliche #TheDelve #CareerCoach #CareerCoaching #LifeCoach #CareerDevelopment #Career #CareerAdvice #Flexibility #Autonomy #Coach #Coaching #Entrepreneur

You spend 8 hours daily (or more!) in your job Monday-Friday. There is probably nothing else you spend more time per week doing than sleeping, perhaps. When your job is unreliable (you don’t enjoy it, it burns you out, you have a toxic culture), the other important parts of life are harder to support. Your mental, emotional space and time for other things in life is greatly diminished. On the flip side, when your job is solid and you enjoy your day to day (a reliable job), you can more easily handle the ups and downs of life. It’s worth the time and money to have a career step that aligns with who you are and want to be! #UnreliableJob #AligntoThrive #CareerCoach #CareerCoaching #LifeCoach #CareerDevelopment #Career #CareerAdvice #Flexibility #Autonomy #Coach #Coaching #Entrepreneur
