Ok, time to share this with everyone.
Five months ago I started studying restoration. My goal is to restore vintage furniture and honestly, where better to do that than in the Nordic countries?
But the studies actually cover a much wider range of things. Who knows maybe one day I’ll buy a hundred-year-old wooden house, restore it myself, and spend a happy old age there with my five dogs.
Originally it was a very impulsive decision. I just wanted to end up somewhere where I’d be forced to speak Finnish every day so I could finally learn this impossible language and maybe even find some Finnish friends (also not the easiest task).
At first I didn’t really think this could become my new profession. But now I realize it actually feels like my thing. I want to do this. I catch myself daydreaming about my own workshop.
Unexpected bonus: every day in the workshop feels like an upper-body workout and apparently workwear looks ridiculously good on me💅
So, that’s the story.
another collaboration of mine with @hm that they don't know about... I call this project "trypophobia" and yes i am really going to wear it
materials: HM ballet flats and scraps of many different ribbons
