deutsch: ich fühle mich geehrt und freue mich sehr, zwei semester lang an der kunsthochschule für medien köln (khm) zu lehren – als vertretungsprofessor für transformation design im künstlerischen bereich exmedia (ab april 2026). die khm ist bekannt für ihren experimentellen, transdisziplinären ansatz in kunst, medien und theorie und fördert kritische sowie praxisbasierte forschung an der schnittstelle von ästhetik und gesellschaft … // ich freue mich sehr, „meine“ neuen studierenden und kolleg*innen bald kennenzulernen … … für diesen zweck habe ich eine kleine website eingerichtet (t-dsgn.de) – für die ankündigungen meiner seminare und ein paar andere dinge, etwa ein buchungstool … und … ein paar easter eggs … :) … außerdem gibt es jetzt auch eine online-version meines kleinen booklets: „die augen trainieren“… (link in bio …) // ich habe dieses plakat vor etwa einem jahr im interference archive in brooklyn, new york, gesehen. das archiv ist ein öffentlich zugänglicher ort für kultur und design, die aus protest heraus entstehen – plakate, sticker, flyer, schallplatten – ergänzt durch regelmäßige veranstaltungen und workshops für alle altersgruppen. ein guter freund von mir, josh, ist einer der gründer des archivs. das bild entstand im rahmen eines selbstorganisierten workshops: eine gender-expansive support- und propaganda-party für familien mit angehörigen, die nicht in ein binäres geschlechterverständnis passen. sie richtet sich an kinder, eltern und alle, die teilnehmen möchten. wie die organisatoren sagen: „es geht um schule, um ermutigung – nicht um ‚einzelne kinder‘, sondern um uns alle.“ // … neben vielem anderen: ich möchte in einer welt leben – und für eine solche arbeiten –, in der sechsjährige gender-expansive kinder sich vorstellen können, die welt zu transformieren … image-shift.net khm.de t-dsgn.de

Bezirk der Stadt noch immer lebendig, wo der Wohnpark Alterlaa als Österreichs größter Sozialwohnungskomplex emporragt. Von diesem und seinem einstigen Glücksversprechen an seine Bewohner*innen handelt der humorvolle Debüt-Dokumentarfilm #27STOREYS von Bianca Gleissinger. Die Regisseurin kehrt an den Ort ihrer Kindheit zurück und begegnet dort seinen verschrobenen wie liebenswürdigen Bewohner*innen – im Schießverein, am Pool auf dem Dach oder auf dem Balkon – und gewährt damit tiefen Einblick in ein soziales Biotop. Like many others in our field, I have been exploring the possibilities of generative design (AI) in recent years. The rapid advancements in this area raise questions about how and where these new tools can be meaningfully integrated into my/our work. This poster is an early example—a Poster for the “Right to the City” forum, created using AI-generated imagery. Typography and layout were then refined using traditional design tools like InDesign and Photoshop. The Right to the City forum is an annual event where urban political initiatives and activists from across the German-speaking region come together to develop strategies, demands, and goals for a more social and sustainable urban development. #GenerativeDesign #AIandDesign #RightToTheCity #UrbanActivism
