🔊✌️😎🔊 Late ’70s Made in Indiana, USA 🇺🇸 Amcron PSA-2 A true industrial legend from the golden era of professional audio. Built by Amcron, Crown’s commercial/professional division, the PSA-2 was engineered with one goal in mind: absolute reliability under extreme conditions. With its massive power supply, oversized heat sinks and ultra-solid construction, the PSA-2 quickly became a reference in the industry. Crown PSA amplifiers were even part of the legendary Paradise Garage sound system in New York, powering the iconic Bertha subwoofers. Sonically, the PSA-2 delivers a signature that is both authoritative and refined: deep controlled bass, effortless dynamics, smooth highs and a surprisingly musical presentation for a professional amplifier. A perfect balance between brute force and finesse. Even decades later, the PSA-2 remains highly respected among audiophiles, studio engineers and vintage pro-audio enthusiasts alike. DM for infos 🙃

Searching for Sound in Ibiza 🔊 A mythical hippie destination during the ’60s and ’70s, Ibiza has become a global symbol of unity, escape and electronic music culture. For Europeans, it’s an easy getaway. For us coming from Quebec, it’s a 16-hour adventure across four flights. During Opening and Closing season, the island becomes the ultimate gathering place for electronic music lovers. Every major DJ eventually passes through Ibiza. This year, I attended Opening 2026. On our first night, I joked with my friends that I wanted to become some kind of “nightclub food critic.” Well… here we are. Three years ago during Closing season, Akasha @akashaibiza left a huge impression on us after seeing Nick Warren @djnickwarren perform there. Returning this year, the place exceeded every expectation. The elongated room almost feels like a listening room, with impressive stereo imaging and an incredibly warm atmosphere. The sound system was exceptional: perfect acoustics, flawless tuning by Sofi @sofilucius33 and custom loudspeakers built by local artisans @thesoundibiza . Despite its intimate size, Akasha attracts major artists like Cristina Lazic @cristinalazic Nick Curly @nick.curly Hernan Cattaneo @djhernancattaneo and Sven Väth @svenvaeth_official . Back home in Montreal, Akasha reminds me of Stereobar @stereobarmtl beneath the legendary (((Stereo))) @stereomontreal — intimate venues where sound quality truly matters Our next stop was Pacha @pachaofficial Ibiza’s legendary institution founded in 1973. During Opening, we saw our Montreal pride BLOND:ISH @blondish , alongside Solomun @solomun deliver unforgettable sets. During Closing 2022, we also stumbled onto an unannounced Damian Lazarus @damian_lazarus set at Blue Marlin @bluemarlinibiza . Hearing “Ping Pong” by Swayzak remains one of my favorite Ibiza memories. This year, we discover Khenya @khenya._ We finally ended at UNVRS @unvrsibiza , a massive venue many already call the world’s best club. Watching sunrise flood the dancefloor while hearing Black Coffee @realblackcoffee Carl Cox @carlcoxofficial and Paco Osuna @pacoosuna felt almost spiritual. Thank you Ibiza @ibizaspotlight , until next time🔊

@image.sonore was raised around a family hi-fi system built with Tannoy speakers, a Harman Kardon amplifier and a Technics turntable, his fascination for soundstage, imaging and tonal realism started early. Classical music, progressive rock and later new wave became the foundation of an audiophile approach focused on realism, texture and spatial precision. Artists like Pink Floyd, Genesis, King Crimson, Talk Talk and Depeche Mode shaped his perception of depth, layering and instrument placement from childhood. In 1998, Music Has the Right to Children by Boards of Canada became a turning point, opening the door to IDM, trip-hop and atmospheric electronic productions. Artists such as Aphex Twin, Autechre, Massive Attack, Portishead, Bonobo and The Cinematic Orchestra became long-term reference material for evaluating resolution, atmosphere and stereo imaging. He built his first tube amplifier at 17 and has spent decades experimenting with vintage electronics, high-efficiency loudspeakers, active filtering and large-format systems. Over time, the search evolved toward systems capable of delivering scale, dynamics and realistic three-dimensional presentation without sacrificing musicality. Main living room system: • JBL 4435 • Dual mono Harman Kardon Citation 16 • Sansui AU-717 preamp section • Mitsubishi LT-5V turntable Office system: • Tannoy Arden MK1 • Harman Kardon Citation 16 • Sansui AU-717 preamp section Workshop system: • SLS LS8695AX • Dual Harman Kardon Citation 16 • QSC SB-7218 subwoofer • Crest 8001 • DBX Driverack active crossover Reference recordings frequently used during listening sessions include Kind of Blue, Mezzanine, The Low End Theory and Reggatta de Blanc. For him, vintage hi-fi represents more than nostalgia. It reflects a period where industrial design, serviceability and uncompromising sound quality defined the listening experience. #HiFiRetro #HiFiSignal #VintageAudio #Audiophile #SoundSystem
