Prince by Deftones has one of my favorite grooves ever written!😮💨
The way Abe Cunningham approaches this song is so musical and unique. This groove is easily one of my favorites he’s ever played, and honestly one of my favorite drum parts of all time.
I remember hearing this track when I was younger and it completely changed the way I think about writing drum parts.

This has been a dream come true. Huge thank you to @ananiamusic_official and @nicogewa for welcoming me into the Gretsch family. If you’ve been following me for a while, you know I’ve played a lot of different drums over the years, but every time I sit behind a Gretsch, I feel at home. The legacy and history behind Gretsch are unreal. All my favorite drummers play Gretsch, and I couldn’t be more honored to be part of such an amazing & talented roster.
These drums have the exact sound I’ve had in my head for years. They work in every situation I throw at them no matter the genre, and the craftsmanship and attention to detail are next level.
Thank you to everyone who’s been supporting me, this wouldn’t be possible without y’all. I’m so excited for this next chapter with Gretsch Drums.

This was a highly requested song so I had to do it! This track is one of my favorites off of Diamond eyes and the drum groove in this particular track is one of my favorites from @vbecunninghvm . It’s THE definition of groove, I remember hearing it for the first time and wanting to learn it so badly back in high school. This song is just too good😮💨

Huge shoutout to @gretschdrums for this 14x6.5 black copper… this thing is SICK. I wanted something that could live in the studio as an alternate snare with a wide tuning range, and this one delivers. Tons of body no matter where it’s tuned.
Still gotta throw some fresh heads on it and really dial it in, but I’m already loving how versatile it is.

This song is an absolute classic. I still remember being a teenager, loading up video games during summer break with this song playing in the background. Such a good feeling.
“Be Quiet and Drive” has always been one of my favorite Deftones songs because of how groovy it is. And that riff… you know exactly what song it is the second you hear it.😮💨

Another one of my absolute favorites off White Pony. This was one of the first Deftones songs I ever heard, and I remember thinking… how did Abe come up with something like this?
I’ve genuinely never heard a groove like this before or since. Everything about it just sounds so different, and it’s easily one of my top 5 favorite drum parts of all time.
