Originally a local barbershop, Rooted Studios blossomed into a thriving plant nursery specializing in tropical houseplants! 🌱 They offer a beautiful range of indoor plants for homes and businesses, plant care classes, and interiorscaping services.
✨ Phoenix Challenge Project Highlights: 🌿 Plant Carrier Design: • Created a custom plant carrier to help customers transport small plants like succulents and cacti safely from the shop.
🪴 Plant Care Label: • Designed a care label with spaces for plant name, sunlight needs, watering info, and more! • Can be attached to the plant carrier or large plant pots for easy reference.
🏷️ Plant Tags: • Developed a series of plant tags in 3 sizes. • UV coated for durability, with uncoated sections for writing custom plant details.

Wrapping up our GCTA officer graduates for this Spring semester we have Antonios Sklivagos, who is graduating Magna Cum Laude. Antonios spent his time at ISU in the print focus of GCT, and many of his projects and other work reflect that expertise he built.
Antonios was the Secretary for the 23-24 year of GCTA. He also participated in his first Phoenix Challenge that same year, where he served as production manager, helping the team bring home the Excellence in Concept award. For the first edition of The Basement, Antonios was a member of the photography team, capturing many of the stock images you see in the edition.
Antonios’ work with GCT wasn’t only in the classroom, however. During the summer prior to his senior year, Antonios served as a Print Production Project Manager at Imagine Chicago, getting to truly apply what he’d been learning to a real GCT industry job. He then went on to return as an intern during his senior year winter break.
Antonios has been hard at work with GCT since his sophomore year of high school, and will continue forward in the industry as he has accepted a full time position as Associate Project Manager with Imagine. Congratulations and keep working hard, Antonios!
