Yesterday I had the opportunity to attend the 2026 Women’s Summit: Women Who Launch, Lead & Build a Legacy, hosted by the South Carolina Department of Commerce and the Greater Women’s Business Council.
What stood out most were the conversations happening between sessions. Women sharing insights about leadership, entrepreneurship, growth, and the challenges that come with building something meaningful. The willingness to exchange ideas, offer encouragement, and explore collaboration made the experience especially impactful.
Spaces like this remind me that sustainable leadership and entrepreneurship rarely develop in isolation. They grow through relationships, shared learning, and the courage to engage in honest conversations about the work.
I am grateful for the connections made and the opportunity to learn alongside women who are launching ideas, leading organizations, and building lasting legacies.
If we connected yesterday, I would love to stay in touch. And if you are refining a business idea, strengthening your strategy, or exploring your next step as an entrepreneur, I invite you to schedule a consultation so we can continue the conversation.

Friends and family it's Friday! The week is almost done.
Tortillas. Fresh veggies. Pickled onions. Seasoned avocado. (Chicken, for the meat lovers in my family).
This was a simple meal that brought us together as a family. Let's be honest, everyone got to choose the ingredients for the meal, but it was only one meal prep for me.
Believe me. The kitchen table is where: Conversations happen. Problems get solved. Stories are shared.
Good, wholesome food builds strong bodies and the time spent together builds relationships and community.
What’s your family’s favorite weeknight meal?

This week my entrepreneurial journey looks like this...
Flour on the counter. Emails in between proofing. Recipe testing while answering client calls. Laundry running. Ideas brewing.
Salubrious Kitchen is more than food. It’s systems. It’s intention. It’s building something that lasts.
This is my working Wednesday reminder to build slowly (like how slowly my dough rises 😅) and build well.

Bread is chemistry and most people don’t realize it. But here’s what fascinates me most...bread is also applied science.
Fermentation. Gas formation. Protein structure. Heat transfer.
This is why "The Kitchen is my Lab: A STEAM Cookbook Text" matters.
Learning can rise in the kitchen.
Would you try bread as a science lesson with your scholars?

Yesterday I made bread 🍞 for the first time (mini loaves).
Between grocery shopping, laundry, breakfast (French toast + eggs), dinner (air fryer chicken, homemade mashed potatoes, and broccoli), and baking a cake for a friend, I decided to try something new.
Homemade bread!
It wasn’t perfect (I'm hoping to decrease the time spent making it). It was definitely an experience. I will see what the children think this morning.
Momentum just requires movement.
What are you trying for the first time this week?

All packed up and rolling out.
Today was full of familiar faces, new conversations, and shared tastes. My mini me and I are grateful for everyone who stopped by, sampled, supported, and connected.
Moments like this remind me that small batch work is really about community.
If you visited today, tell me your favorite flavor.
If you missed it, which preserve would you want to try first?
Until next time.

Today is the day.
Salubrious Kitchen is at Richland Library sharing small batch jams, jellies, and preserves made with locally grown fruit.
Stop by, taste, and connect. We are here until 1pm!
Grateful for community.

Over the past few weeks, I have been thinking about how to bring more of this experience into shared spaces.
Not just food.
But the process.
The stories.
The learning.
There is something meaningful about creating together and understanding where what we eat comes from.
In the coming weeks, I will be sharing opportunities to gather, prepare, and learn in community.
Stay tuned.

Food gathers people.
Around a table (the kitchen table or one in a restaurant), conversations slow down. Stories are shared. Questions are asked. Generations overlap.
This is one of the reasons I continue this work.
Salubrious Kitchen is rooted in the belief that nourishment and connection belong together. When we gather intentionally, we strengthen more than our bodies. We strengthen community.
There is something powerful about sharing what has been made with care.
