#21 HAL9000.exe
Inspired by 2001: A Space Odyssey
Audiovisual system built with Eurorack, Ableton, Max/MSP and TouchDesigner. Merging analog and digital words simultaneously. My most complex artwork so far.
The modular system generated both sound and control voltages.
Audio and CV signals were recorded into Ableton and reused to drive Max/MSP and TouchDesigner visuals.
The same modulation signals control both sonic and visual parameters, while additional notes and automation from Ableton links the two environments.
One shared modulation structure shaping the entire piece.
System readiness: ~85%
Hybrid analog–digital generative AV architecture.
After 7 years of iteration, rebuilding, and obsession, this system merges modular (Eurorack) generative sound design with real-time digital environments (Max/MSP, TouchDesigner, Ableton) and analog video processing hardware.
The philosophy is simple:
Merge analog signal character with digital control in real time.
Audio, CV modulation, and visual systems interact bidirectionally — the Eurorack generates soundtrack and modulation simultaneously driving software and hardware video processes.
An ongoing exploration of generative logic, feedback structures, and hybrid signal workflows across sound and image.
#20 Full Scale Test 1
So this is the result of the first jam where I used all the tools I have in my system. Generative Eurorack which processes dynamically some of the sound layers coming from Ableton. CV signals from rack sent to multiple destinations, both in the hardware and digital realm. Plus midi melodies driving both of the V4/8 simultaneously.
Till this piece I tested separately some of the aspects/ capabilities/functions but all of them in the same session - never before. So it’s a milestone. Still few modules to get for the Eurorack to push it further into generative realm, but it’s already yielding some great results. Plus a few max msp tweaks needed but these are purely fine tuning not large scale system overhauls.
The biggest game changer is tremendously huge cut on time needed in postproduction. Before it I spent on average 2-3 weeks due to all my other private life commitments to get the sounds in sync with visuals, as I unusually produced visuals and then composed under it the soundtracks. Now the main “spine”of a piece can be produced in one session and it’s already more then just in sync. Both sound and visuals emerge and live together in perfect sync.
Basis of this piece is some street art found during a trip to Barcelona.
A 7 year adventure with blood sweat and tears steadily coming to an end, and finally a new one is opening.
#19 first CV modulated sketch
So long story short, the very first piece that used my systems capabilities to modulate visuals and sound by same CV signals. It was important to test, so it’s a basic sketch and only the Morhphagene, which is providing the background sound textures, and the video glitching devices are modulated by same CV signals. So don’t judge too hard, it was important to finish it today.
The base was a photo of a wall with stickers from Roots Budapest bar that was a significant place form me in my past when I was still living in Budapest, the other part is a Vsynth patch but not modulated at all by CV signals, but next time definitely will be 👾

#16 Sunrise Residual
Inspired by Alien:Earth to use some of my leftover, pure crt rescan from previous piece and flip it into retro futuristic vibes.

#15 Sunrise on an unknown planet
“The expedition found an ancient shipwreck on an unexplored planet. A strange portal was still functioning and time felt like frozen around it”
My first artwork in which I combined analog video glitches with a full 3D scene. Everything in this animation is DIY (models, terrain, textures, soundtrack)
