The aim with ILO is to enhance quality, strength and artistic content for participating light festivals and create awareness for light festivals and light art worldwide.
Light festivals are events at the crossroads of art, design, technology and entertainment which gives them a very specific position from a festival point of view as well as in a cultural context and as a city marketing tool.
ILO wants to strengthen the position of light festivals on the level of artistic excellence and internationalization. Light festivals bring together an often very large but also very diverse and broad audience. Participants of ILO want to embrace this diversity and create festivals where there are as few boundaries as possible to have visitors get acquainted with art in public space.

Man in the Moon by Studio ELF (DE)
The wonderful story of the Man in the Moon is now available for Light Art Festivals. A dreamlike and amusing projection story for young and old. The 5-minute loop is easy to use, as a facade projection, indoors, on screens, or on a window. You will receive the content as a video file for your festival at an affordable price. The work was successfully realized as part of the Essen Light Festival by the artists @leo_namislow and @daniel_kurniczak .

PROTYP - Brno, Czech Republic
Prototyp Festival was founded in 2014 in Brno as a platform connecting art, science and technology. Every October, it brings together exhibitions, installations, performances and educational activities for a broad audience. Over the years, it has become a well-established part of Brnoโs autumn cultural programme. The festival takes place in the unique setting of historic underground water reservoirs and their surrounding park, with a strong focus on interactivity, innovation, new media art, AI, education, sustainability and international collaboration.

Unter Atemschutz, als Hรถhenretter oder im Schutzanzug gegen chemische Gefahrstoffe โ die Arbeitskleidung der Karlsruher Berufsretter ist so vielseitig wie ihre Aufgaben. Zum 100-jรคhrigen Jubilรคum der Karlsruher Berufsfeuerwehr, produziert der Karlsruher Medienkรผnstler Jonas Denzel derzeit die Show โ๐ข๐ป ๐๐ถ๐ฟ๐ฒ โ ๐ญ๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐๐ฎ๐ต๐ฟ๐ฒ ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ณ๐๐ณ๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ฒ๐ต๐ฟโ, die bei den diesjรคhrigen SCHLOSSLICHTSPIELEN zu sehen sein wird.
Der Medienkรผnstler Jonas Denzel ist kein Unbekannter: Im Sommer 2018 steuerte er die Show โHands onโ zu den SCHLOSSLICHTSPIELEN bei, die auf interaktive Elemente setzt und die Zuschauerinnen und Zuschauer zum Mitklatschen animiert. Mit seinen Arbeiten ist er international erfolgreich, gewann 2021 den internationalen Videomapping-Wettbewerb IMapp in Bukarest und war 2025 Finalist bei Shining Shanghai.

A ghostly Lion's Mane Medusa drifts silently through the air โ hypnotic, weightless and otherworldly. Existing for over 535 million years, the jellyfish is nature's ultimate survivor, and here it becomes a living reflection on the fragility of our ecosystem and the raw, primal force of life itself.

Our Colour Reflection by Liz West (UK)

Colour Reflection uses over 765 coloured acrylic mirrors in 15 colours and four sizes, hung at varying heights to reflect both the space and the people within it. The work draws on the tradition of stained glass and the role of light, making hidden parts of the architecture visible while projecting colour throughout the interior. Playful yet considered, it invites each viewer into their own experience, shaped by how they move through the space and what they bring to it.
