Yesterday I had the opportunity to tour Industrial Light & Magic and see firsthand how California’s world-class post production and visual effects industry continues to set the global standard for innovation, storytelling, and cutting-edge technology.
The talent, creativity, and economic impact generated by these artists and technicians reinforce why California must act now to strengthen and retain this critical sector. As other regions aggressively compete for post production and VFX work, we must work to keep these high-skilled, high-paying jobs here at home.
That’s why I’m fighting to pass AB 2319 to create a California post production and visual effects tax incentive program — to support our workforce, grow our creative economy, and ensure the future of filmmaking innovation remains in California.
