Over the past four months, me and @theglori37 have faced a lot of difficulties trying to keep this project above water.
We have lost friendships, partners, followers and at times, almost lost our way.
The thing that kept us going was faith, the music, and the people who still believed in us. In December, our listeners donated 25.000 kr. to help keep this project alive. What a blessing.
Creating music as a woman and as an independent artist in this industry is difficult, to say the least.
But I believe hardships are meant to sharpen the blade.
As Kahlil Gibran wrote: “The deeper that sorrow carves into your being, the more joy you can contain.”
We are humbled and deeply grateful that Statens Kunstfond has chosen to support the ILMA project in such a meaningful and grand way.
This support means that we can move towards a more sustainable creative process and continue building ILMA with more strength, clarity and care.
