Amidst all that, I find myself wondering if I have to do things just as well as everyone else. But really, more than that, I want to cherish what I believe in and those moments when my heart is truly moved. I can’t accept what everyone else takes for granted as the norm, and our misunderstandings always seem one-sided. Sometimes I wonder when I’ll ever be able to live well, but even so, I want to keep believing in the things I hold dear and what lies deep within my heart. I’d be happy if you could enjoy this work at your own pace. _______________________________________

“Smiles”は、EP『EMO EMO』に先駆けてリリースした。 今のilliomoteの楽曲はリリースされた瞬間に完成するわけじゃなくて、
演奏するたびに輪郭を変えて、少しずつ別の形になっていく。 この映像は、漂流音楽 に呼んでもらった夜、代官山ORD の時のもの。
今の“Smiles”は、もう少し違う場所にいる。 来月のライブに向けても、また新しい形を試しているところ。 illiomoteにとって、音源とライブは同じ曲でも役割が違う。 音源は、余白や手触りを残したまま、静かにみんなの身体に馴染んでいって欲しいなと思ってる。
ライブはもっと衝動的で、ノイズが沢山あって欲しい。
制作中は、ライブで再現することをほとんど考えていない。
完成したあとに、そこからもう一度壊していく。 そのズレや変化の中から、また次のアイデアが生まれていく。 今週、また新しいニュースを届けます。 “Smiles” was released ahead of the EP *EMO EMO*. illiomote’s songs aren’t finished the moment they’re released; they change shape with every performance, gradually taking on a different form. This video was filmed at Daikanyama ORD on the night we were invited to perform at “Drifting Music.” The current version of “Smiles” is in a slightly different place now. We’re also experimenting with new forms in preparation for next month’s live show. For illiomote, even if it’s the same song, the recorded version and the live performance serve different roles. With recordings, I hope they quietly settle into everyone’s bodies while still leaving room for interpretation and a tactile quality. Live performances, on the other hand, should be more impulsive and filled with noise. During the production process, I rarely think about how to recreate the song live. After it’s finished, I start breaking it down again from there. From those discrepancies and changes, the next ideas are born. I’ll have some new news to share this week. #illiomote #smiles

新しいEP「EMO EMO」聴いてくれましたか？ 収録曲の”EMO EMO””KATACHI””Smiles”はそれぞれ制作方法は違ったんだけれど、1番最後に出来たのが”EMO EMO”でした。ミックスが終わるタイミングではまだタイトルは決まっていなくて違うタイトル候補もあったんだけれど、デモの時にずっと”EMO EMO”って音源ファイルの名前にしていて。ミックスをしてくれているMaster Thunderousがこのタイトルいいじゃん！と言ってくれて最終的にこのタイトルになったししっくりきた。 期待も不安も全部抱えたまま、風に乗って進んでいけるように。 Have you listened to our new EP, “EMO EMO”? The tracks “EMO EMO,” “KATACHI,” and ‘Smiles’ were all produced differently, but “EMO EMO” was the last one to be completed. By the time the mixing was finished, we hadn’t decided on a title yet and had other candidates in mind, but I’d been naming the demo files “EMO EMO” the whole time. Master Thunderous, who handled the mixing, said, “This title is great!” so we ended up going with it, and it just felt right. Holding onto all my hopes and fears, I hope to ride the wind and move forward. #illiomote #emoemo

illiomoteがバンド体制になり2作目の”EMO EMO”が約1週間後にリリースとなります。何回も何回も聴いてもらえる作品になったら嬉しいです。色んな場所で聴いて欲しい。今月はバンドのライブはお休みでメンバーそれぞれの活動の時間です。来月6/30はaldo van eyck、BYORAとの3manイベントがTOKIO TOKYOであります。なんでこの組み合わせ？と思っている人も多いのかな、なんて感じていますが、今のilliomoteのライブは汗汗汗って感じになっているので、なかなかカオスな一日になるのかなと思っています。全組観たあとは魂持っていかれそう。そして、なかなかこういうイベントは集客が難しいという側面もありまして、私たちも他2組とははじめましてなのでお客さんもそうなのかな？と思いますが本当に一生ない組合せかもしれないので必ず観に来てください。新しい曲もやると思います。また、最近作ったTシャツを会場でも販売していたのですが少量残った分をオンラインに出しました。 そんな感じでGW皆さま楽しくお過ごしください！
