Had the incredible opportunity this year to design and light three gladiator sets for the
@tigers Media Day.
This production is no small feat spanning four days, nearly 80 players, and a crew of 80+ talented individuals. With just two days to load in, build, and fully test, the margin for error was slim but expectations high. The content captured during this window will power an entire season across in-game, social, and broadcast platforms.
What people donāt always see are the early mornings, the late nights, and the months of preparation that make it all possible. Planning for this began back in November with rough sketches that quickly evolved into detailed digital renderings, huge credit to Joe and his team at
@4wall for helping bring that vision to life. In addition, we collaborated with
@ryvalstudios for set build and post production work. Itās always a pleasure working with Jon & his team, true professionals who deliver. The collaborations were seamless, and Iām grateful for the partnership.
Once creative was approved, it was full speed ahead locking in gear, building out crews, and navigating tight budgets and even tighter timelines. Somehow, we delivered under pressure and under budget. More importantly, we proved something to ourselves.
This project was a test and it validated what Iāve believed for a while now: the strength, creativity, and capability of our internal team is something special. I couldnāt be more proud of the group that brought this to life. Your commitment, attention to detail, and willingness to push through every challenge made this production what it is.
Also, a huge thank you to the Lakeland team for helping execute at such a high level, and to the City of Lakeland, FL for the continued support and hospitality.
It truly takes a village and Iām grateful for mine! God is Good!
