Atlanta’s Indian dining scene has a new addition with
@ikararestaurant , an upscale restaurant located inside the Twelve Midtown Hotel at
@atlanticstation . The menu pulls from different regions across India, focusing on traditional techniques and recipes that have been passed down over time, keeping things rooted without overcomplicating them.
The cocktail menu curated by Arvind Poojari, ffers a solid mix depending on what you’re in the mood for. We went with Chennai Central (my favorite drink!), Aamras Ritu, and Kohra. If you prefer something more spirit-forward, The Last Local Home and Pehli Baarish are good options.
Started with the Assorted Papad Platter with chutneys, Murg Malai Kebab, Pomfret Rava Fry, and Pepper Chicken Fry. For mains, we had Roomali Roti, Garlic Naan, Paneer Kulchan, and Mutton Dum Pukht Biryani (a must order here)!
For dessert, the Kesari Phirni was a simple, well-balanced finish to the meal😍
The space itself stands out with high ceilings, a striking bar area, and a beautifully designed interior. There’s also a tasting room in the back that’s set to open later in the year.
