I would like to express my disappointment regarding the disqualification of Abdullah AlFadhel in the final moto of the Pro Runabout Stock class at the IJSBA World Finals yesterday. What happened is nothing short of unfair. Abdullah simply celebrated his well-earned victory, as did many champions before him like botti in 2014 and yet he was penalized for doing so. From the beginning, it was evident that some officials seemed determined to find any reason to penalize him, and it feels as though they were searching for the smallest of mistakes to move him down. This is not the spirit of fair competition, especially when the action in question was nothing more than a celebration of a great achievement. To make matters worse, there was even a protest claiming that the ski was not legal and that the team had cheated. However, after being called back to tech and undergoing a re-inspection, the ski passed all technical checks and was confirmed to be legal. Abdullah won the race fair and square. Abdullah’s performance was stellar throughout the event, and his disqualification in this instance doesn’t seem justified by the circumstances. The decision was deeply disappointing for fans, competitors, and everyone who values fairness in the sport. This is why no one races the World Finals [email protected]
