The online sexual abuse or exploitation of children (OSAEC) is widespread in the Philippines. According to IJM’s Scale of Harm prevalence study, nearly 500,000 Filipino children were trafficked to produce child sexual exploitation material in 2022 alone.
In some areas, offenders refer to this abuse as a “show” they stage in exchange for money from online sex offenders.

W.I.P.E. Out OSAEC: Advancing with P.O.S.E., a milestone joint training organized by the @doj.ph through @ncc_osaec_csaem_ph in partnership with IJM Philippines, brought together 28 justice sector professionals nationwide to strengthen the fight against OSAEC.
Judges, prosecutors, and law enforcement officers were gathered for an integrated learning experience to strengthen coordination among the agencies from investigation through prosecution.
W.I.P.E. OUT (Working for Interagency Protection and Enforcement Against Exploitation) and P.O.S.E. Advanced (Prosecuting Online Sexual Exploitation), two cornerstone programs that have shaped the Philippines’ national response to OSAEC and will continue to strengthen and influence the country’s efforts in the years ahead.

Nakipagpulong ang IJM Philippines kay Mayor ng Calamba City upang talakayin ang pagpapalakas ng pagprotekta sa mga bata laban sa Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children (OSAEC). Kasama sa pulong ang City Social Services & Youth Development Office Head Ms. Celina D. Manabat, CSWDO Social Worker Janette J. Roa, at ang Chief of Police PLTCOL Dennis De Guzman.
Ipinahayag din ni Mayor ang kaniyang interes magkaroon ng pormal na kasunduan upang mas patatagin ang pagtutulungan ng lungsod at ni IJM. Ipinapakita ang malinaw at matibay na paninindigan ng Calamba City na pangalagaan ang kapakanan ng bawat bata at labanan ang OSAEC nang sama-sama.

QUEZON CITY, PHILIPPINES – Pinatitibay ng Pamahalaang Lungsod ng Quezon City ang proteksiyon ng mga bata laban sa online sexual abuse and exploitation (OSAEC) sa pamamagitan ng pagsasanay ng kanilang frontline responders. Isinigawa ng IJM Philippines ang Multi-Disciplinary Team–Basic Internet Crimes Against Children (MDT–BICAC) Training na nagbigay sa higit 40 kalahok ng malinaw na pag-unawa at pag responde sa mga OSAEC offense.
Maaaring tumawag ang mga residente sa Hotline 122, kung saan may mga responder na nakahandang kumilos agad para sa proteksiyon ng mga bata.
