"Beyond networking, this trip pushed me to step outside my comfort zone, ask meaningful questions that I may have been too afraid to ask, and think more intentionally about my future.”
During the Winter 2026 semester, 20 first-generation students went on a global networking journey during Spring Break. Read about their trip to London at our link in bio. #UMich

4th Annual Shared Memories: The Armenian Experience Through Objects and Stories
Friday, April 24, 2026
4:00–5:30 PM
Weiser Hall 1010, Ann Arbor
CAS invites you to one of the most meaningful and community-driven gatherings of the year in recognition of the anniversary of the 1915 Armenian Genocide.
Bring your friends and family (Armenian or not), and take part in this community-building event. Please consider bringing and sharing any object that carries a story, whether tied to family history, migration, memory, or identity. These can be photographs, heirlooms, books, jewelry, textiles, or everyday items that hold personal or historical significance. And if you would prefer to simply listen and be part of the space, that is just as valuable.
There will be an abundance of Armenian and Middle Eastern food, and more importantly, an opportunity to gather as a community, reconnect, and close out the semester together in a meaningful way.
