Looking back on 2025, I leaned heavily on a few tools to keep me productive and sane.
In no particular order, here are some of the tools I used across HR, Marketing and Writing Verticals.
1. Mailsuite: This Chrome extension helped me know when people opened my emails. The paid version offers more benefits, such as how many times your email was opened.
2. Apollo: Used this tool a lot to capture data like email addresses from potential clients on LinkedIn.
3. Word Hippo: As someone who writes frequently, having access to a tool that churns out synonyms, antonyms, definitions, translations, and rhymes is GOLD! Word Hippo made my writing life easier in 2025.
4. Perplexity Pro
@perplexity : Tobi Amure, CFEI®, B Pharm put me on. Got the paid version and I’ve been stuck ever since. Perplexity is like the virtual assistant cum researcher I didn’t know I needed.
5. ChatGPT by
@openai : If this isn’t on your list, I have no words
6. Notion
@notionhq : Great versatile workspace for project management, task tracking, and more. Basically, for work and life.
7. Grey
@greyfinance & Raenest App (formerly Geegpay)
@raenestapp : Allows me receive payments in USD, EUR and GBP
8. Asyncinterview.io: Stumbled on this HRTech tool this year, and it’s been super helpful for hiring, thanks to its user-friendly features.
9. PaidHR
@getpaidhr : Started exploring this tool towards the end of 2025, and would go full-swing in 2026. Great for Payroll and HR tasks
10. AnswerThePublic: This sweet SEO tool will make content marketing worth your while!
11. Wordtracker: Another SEO tool that has been with me since 2020. Superb tool, year in, year out.
12. Keywords Everywhere: I use this extension if I want the lazy man’s approach to keyword research.
13. Loom: While this tool has many uses, it was useful during my job application spree around Q2-Q3. It was helpful in answering video interview questions. Also, great if you want to record short explainer videos.
