Recently I had the opportunity to present #manifestoterricola at the @museo_mac Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Chile MAC curated by @ruthgeoffroy Geoffroy Manifesto Terrícola reflects on the memory of the Earth and on the role humanity plays within a complex system where biology, data, and technology increasingly intersect. Through digital visualizations, audiovisual, biological references, and documentation, the work explores how information, genetic, geological, and cultural becomes a living archive of our civilization. The Manifesto Terricola is one of the first art manifestos done in collaboration with an AI (in 2023) and the only one stored in DNA. The project proposes the idea of a Terricola consciousness with a perspective that recognizes the deep interdependence between natural systems, artificial intelligence, and human culture. Presenting this work in Chile, a territory where landscape, geology, and energy strongly shape cultural identity, was especially meaningful. What difference would it make to cultivate our objects in a living machine with which we have to contend in order to obtain them? This is my new work: a speculation on what would happen if we had to deal with “a living machine” to get our production. How do we get out of pure extractivism and solve our energy and resource problems without being against technology or too much into it? I presented this productive speculation at ISEA International 2025 in Seoul: Cultivating Biohybrid Artifacts Reinventing Production Between Biopunk and Solarpunk, Vivien Roussel, Marc Teyssier and Lucile Haute. Excited to share some images from my exhibition Manifesto Terricola at the Andrés Bello Catholic University (UCAB) @culturaucab in Venezuela, curated by the insightful @hvaldivi and produced with the @ift_devinci This project invites us to reflect on our human condition and our relationship with the Earth in a time marked by technological acceleration and ecological urgency. Through art, science, and digital language, Manifesto Terricola proposes a new planetary consciousness—one that recognizes the interconnectedness of all living beings and challenges the boundaries between nature, technology, and identity. Opening tonight Solar Biennale 2, Soleil·s @mudaclausanne Featuring our latest work EATING THE SUN in excellent company: Ten new commissions have been entrusted to design studios such as Common Accounts, ecologicStudio and Solar Lab (Juliette Bibasse & Joanie Lemercier). The exhibition also features recent projects and works from the mudac collection by artists and designers such as Òlafur Elìasson, Liam Young, Andreas Gursky, DISNOVATION.ORG and Solar Protocol. “Soleil·s explores the symbolic and transformative potential of the sun, inspired by the vision of the Solar Biennale. As curators, we aimed to highlight how solar design goes beyond energy innovation, challenging us to rethink our relationship with health, politics, urbanism, and inclusivity. 🇰🇷 This week, we welcomed the Semiconductor Department (4 professors, 34 students, and 1 coordinator) of @hanyang_univ in Paris. 🔁 The professors were able to discuss with our research professors on their common subjects, and the students had an opportunity to interact with students from @emlv_paris @esilv_paris , some of whom will be going to Hanyang University and Seoul next year. 💡 The entire group had a presentation of the department and a tour of the @ift_devinci 📈 @hanyang_univ and @poledevinci have been partners for over 10 years !

[#IFT Conference 📢] Instant Futures Talk series continues with : Machine Learning as Design Material Speaker : Prof. Baptiste Caramiaux, CNRS researcher (tenured, HDR) at the Institute of Intelligent Systems and Robotics (ISIR), Sorbonne Université in Paris. 🕛 Thursday March 21st 2024, 13h00 - 14h00 at @poledevinci + Livestream ( link in bio) 🔴 Abstract In this presentation, I redefine the role of machine learning, transforming it from a simple analysis tool to a participant in the design process. By leveraging its ability to interpret proposed input data, machine learning becomes a component that enables the creation of complex interaction scenarios and the integration of uncertainty into potential outcomes. To this end, I will demonstrate the importance of integrating the user (or practitioner) into the machine learning pipeline. In other words, getting inside the algorithmic black box. I will illustrate this approach in a number of case studies in creative and healthcare applications. In particular, I will explain the principles of machine learning where users become the teachers of learning systems and the implications from a practical and theoretical point of view.
