💜 Latvian artist duo @ieva.krish / Tuvumi presented their work OBLICUS. “Oblicus” is a contemporary love story — a metaphysical duet intertwining intimacy, vulnerability, and creative aspiration. It is a self-portrait of two individuals navigating the tensions of togetherness and separation, exploring the longing to merge while preserving one’s sense of self. This work emerges from a desire to inhabit a shared space—a time that is neither mine nor yours, but ours. Inspired by the Lithuanian polyphonic tradition of sutartinės, “Oblicus” transforms that logic into movement: layered, asynchronous, and interdependent. “Oblicus” is both an intimate duet and a broader reflection on the contemporary condition: the impossibility of complete fusion, and the beauty of trying. 📸 Toma Samuolė. On 8 May we open Baltic Take Over with “Oblicus” by @ieva.krish at Konträr as part of @sthlmdans !💫 “Oblicus” is a contemporary love story by artists Ieva Gaurilčikaitė-Sants (LT/LV) and Krišjānis Sants (LV). As @santa.chan , the artistic director of the New Theatre Institute of Latvia describes it: “Oblicus offers a physical, almost visceral experience that balances between vulnerability and controlled collapse. Šiuolaikinis šokis keliauja po Lietuvą! Šią savaitę festivalis pirmąkart apsilankė Marijampolėje – čia pristatėme kūrėjų dueto IevaKrish & Tuvumi šokio spektaklį „OBLICUS“. Toliau kelionę su šiuolaikine meiles istorija „OBLICUS“ tęsime Gargžduose ir Ukmergėje: Gargždų kultūros centre pasirodymas vyks kovo 28 d. 18:00, o Ukmergės kultūros centre – balandžio 11 d., 18:00. Vakar vakare, Marijampolėje, prasidėjo festivalio kelionė po Lietuvos miestus kartu su spektakliu „OBLICUS“. Toliau su šokio spektakliu keliausime į Gargždus bei Ukmergę, o finalinis kūrėjų iš Latvijos IevaKrish & Tuvumi pasirodymas įvyks Vilniuje, „Baltic Dance Platform“ metu.
