It wasn’t until I was in my teens I realized that things were different. He was a good dad, but at times I could see glimpses of the illness that was slowly eating him up from the inside. When my mom got sick and eventually passed, things got much worse. Obsessive thoughts, mani, anxiety and depression. Now I don’t even recognize him anymore. All that’s left is a man eating TV-Dinners in the dark.
