NASA biennial conference at The Ohio State University was a lot of fun. Always great to get a “sound reset” - hearing the luminaries of our generation play live and get a reminder - oh that’s right, THAT is what great tone/articulation/tuning sounds like. Also running into old friends and making new ones. Is tagging people you met obnoxious? Not sure. Congrats to organisers on a wonderful conference. See you in Memphis in 2 years!

Composer/Violinist/ Volcanologist (Volcano Scientist) @leifyleif has created a unique show and album called the Volcano Listening Project. Where we make music along with data from volcano eruptions worldwide. It’s strangely beautiful! This week we perform the work in Oregon. Should be a blast!

Thank you to all the dedicated educators who came to a 10am session on a Sunday! Teaching jazz band, in Oregon, in the middle of all of • this • *gestures wildly* is a huge feat within itself. I see you, I value you, I appreciate you, I could not do what I do without you.
Jessie Smith thanks for organizing - Tessa Rae I’ll get you that video soon!
