Not only are they the primary source of income for their families, but they also fight to keep their families together and survive under this federal administration. Many jornaleros who have been kidnapped have a loved one who's a domestic worker.

Este año IDEPSCA estara celebrando atravez de diferentes eventos.
Tambien honoraremos a aquellos Jornaler@s que desafortunadamente han sido victimas de los constantes ataques de ICE y han sido secuestrados y por lo tanto estan en centros de detencion o ya han sido deportados.
Para la comunidad jornalera la lucha no para y dia a dia hay que levantarse para seguir apoyando a sus families.

May 3rd is recognized in the City of Los Angeles as the Dia del Jornalero. This historic event was proclaimed thanks to the continued work of day laborers at the centers and corners.
This year IDEPSCA will be celebrating hosting different events at the centers.
We will also be honoring those day laborers that unfortunately have been victims of the constant attacks of ICE and are now in detention centers or have been deported.
For the day labor community the fight continues and it doesn't stop. Everyday they have to start over to keep supporting their families.
Thank you to those people that have donated to make these events possible, but there's still much needed support. If you want to keep supporting the day labor community share the QR code.

Join us and over 125 sponsoring organizations at MacArthur Park at 10AM on Friday to march for a money, power, and respect: a strong labor movement, workers' rights, against the billionaires, and to ensure every fast food worker in the city of Los Angeles has mandatory know-your-rights training!

This week on Workers’ Memorial Day, we remember all our members, Day Laborers and Domestic Workers, who have passed. They were not only workers, they were also fathers, mothers, siblings and valuable members of our Day Laborer Centers and Programs. The fight for health and safety has been at the core of the labor movement. On the brink of May Day, we uplift the fight to ban Silica to prevent Silicosis, stronger health and safety enforcement during the LA Wildfires reconstruction, and the complete coverage of domestic work under Cal OSHA.

Esta semana, en el Día en Memoria de los Trabajadores, recordamos a todos nuestros miembros, jornaleros y trabajadores domésticos, que han fallecido. No solo eran trabajadores, sino también padres, madres, hermanos y valiosos miembros de nuestros Centros y Programas para Jornaleros. La lucha por la salud y la seguridad ha sido fundamental para el movimiento obrero. A solo unos dias del Primero de Mayo, apoyamos la lucha para prohibir la sílice y prevenir la silicosis, una aplicación más estricta de las normas de salud y seguridad durante la reconstrucción tras los incendios forestales de Los Ángeles y la cobertura total del trabajo doméstico por parte de Cal/OSHA.
