@thegatevr architectural concept was built around the idea of passage: from one atmosphere to another, from the real to the virtual, from observation to immersion. A space made of transitions, where every door, window and graphic element becomes a gate. Openings cut through the architecture, creating glimpses from one world into another. _ARCHIVES / CAKE* Back at the very start of the studio, we designed a Fanzine for @climbingdistrict . We wanted the print object to capture the essence of the brand and its community. We went through their archives, lost & found, interviewed climbers, and headed down to the basement of their climbing venue in Paris. There, we found stacks of climbing holds that really inspired us. Came back with our scanner and started experimenting with HD scans, zooming in to find unexpected shapes, surfaces and textures. And one of those made the cover! This process still says a lot about how we work today: we dig, we collect, we obsess and look for the forgotten detail that brings real personality and authenticity to the stories we tell for our clients. #identitesstudio #cover #scanart #texture #paris

We spend a lot of time on site bringing our ideas to life, detail after detail. In interior design, everything starts from scratch: from an empty shell, we imagine spaces, materials, and flows. Getting a first glimpse of what would be the best experience for anyone who walks in. Projecting ourselves into the space like we’re wearing VR glasses (maybe one day!). The same goes for our environmental graphics and signage projects, where we often step into bare volumes and have to project an identity into a space that doesn’t yet exist. Proportions are key: graphics and visuals react differently depending on scale. We make sure everything makes sense, is readable and accessible to all. Being on site is essential for us. Everyone from the team visits before designing, to understand the volumes, how the natural light moves throughout the day, and to project how our creations will live in a finished environment. We go again and again to see the construction evolve and the space come to life — making sure we’re there to fine-tune every detail until it feels just right. For @thegatevr , we designed a sensory space for their first Paris location in Place de Clichy. Beyond the game rooms, the standalone lounges act as transition zones, designed to pause before the next leap into the virtual. A dialogue between softness and precision, from the bi-coloured mesh Bubble sofas by @rochebobois , custom-finished for the project, to the brushed aluminium tables by @koge.design . Each element reflects @thegatevr ’s brand identity: colourful, hybrid, and sensorial. "SUSPENDED—2024—006” Please discover our in-house designed suspended chair. The base was imagined with lightweight carbon blades to ensure suspended flexibility and stability. The midnight blue velvet upholstery was chosen to contrast and warm up the carbon, creating a contemporary, graphic-inspired silhouette. ——— At @identites.studio , we’ve been designing custom objects and furniture since day one. Designed from scratch, our work transforms the space into a hybrid realm that blurs the lines between the real and the virtual. Inspired by video games, it is a take-off point to immersive, imaginary worlds where colors and sensations are endlessly reinvented and invigorated. Crafted as a series of distinct yet interconnected areas, the environment is an immersive playground for all five senses.
