Founded by Razi Razak in 2010, Identité ran for 4.5 years as a weekly gathering point for the city’s restless sounds, happening almost every Friday at Home Club. By its close in 2014, the press had recognised it as one of the longest-running independent gig series of its kind.
Now, it re-emerges with the same curatorial instinct — open, fluid, and attentive to what’s next.
No fixed edges. Just the room, the music, and what begins there.

iiARA carries a quiet but undeniable presence in every space she performs in. Between the wordplay and the beats, there’s a strong sense of narrative and control that briefly reminds me of the spoken word nights I used to host years ago. When asked which artists to watch over the next few years, she was immediately one of them — fiercely independent and deeply assured in her own direction.
