🚨 Disruptor Alert 🚨
Let’s talk about Chef Hanna.
A certified badass. A kitchen rebel.
A creative force who proves that you don’t have to blend in to lead. She’s the mind behind Funky Chef Coats—bold patterns, fearless fits, and gear that lets women own their space in the kitchen.
And now—she’s officially partnering with Hospitality Revival.
We’re kicking things off by spotlighting her and her product in our Revival Boxes, launching this August and shipping in September. These aren’t just gift boxes—they’re a movement. A tangible way to lift the lifters. DM me "REVIVAL BOX" for more INFO
Because Hanna isn’t just about fashion—she’s about disruption with heart.
🔊 Passion is what you do.
Purpose is what lifts others while you do it.✨
And when you’re rooted in that kind of purpose? You don’t just cook—you lead. You change culture. You revive community.
Welcome to the movement, Hanna. We’re so damn proud to have you in the crew.

🚨DEADLINE APPROACHING - MAY 15TH!🚨
Each year we award scholarship money to qualified female applicants in South Carolina who are pursuing careers in culinary arts, hospitality, beverage management, nutrition, event management and related areas!
The scholarship money can be applied to tuition if they are a culinary/hospitality student, or it can be used for many different continuing education opportunities—certifications, trainings, conferences, etc. The only stipulation is that the money must go to some sort of institution, it cannot go directly to the individual. The maximum award is $3,000.
APPLY NOW! You can learn more about our scholarship process and download the application here: /scholarships. The application deadline is May 15, 2026!
A year ago last month, something shifted.
An idea turned into action — Our Table Chefs — created to empower local female chefs by starting with something powerful: visibility. Headshots. Stories. A seat at the table.
Since then, that ripple has grown into something I could have never imagined… including the honor of being asked to join the Charleston Chapter of Les Dames d’Escoffier International.
What I’ve learned most this past year is this:
we were never meant to do this alone.
Camaraderie creates community,
and community creates strength.
When we show up for each other, we lift, we support, and we collaborate. We stop carrying the weight alone and start building something bigger together.
Every woman brings something different to the table — culture, story, experience, and perspective. And in that, we find connection.
That includes the women behind the scenes — the writers, storytellers, and influencers — who amplify our voices, the managers who keep everything moving seamlessly in the front of the house, and the men who support, respect, and stand alongside us as allies in this industry.
I am endlessly inspired by this community.
But what do we all share most?
A deep passion for our community. We choose community over competition because, at the end of the day, we are stronger together.
Women should not only be honored one month out of the year — we deserve to be honored every single day. And if you’re reading this, take a moment to honor yourself. Honor the time we have on this planet, because tomorrow is never promised.
And we’re just getting started.

Celebrating 20 years of the @chswineandfood Festival🥂
For five incredible days, our city comes alive in celebration of hospitality at its very best. Hospitality is the friendly, generous reception of guests — creating moments that make people feel welcomed, comfortable, and cared for. It’s warmth, kindness, generosity, and connection happening under rooftops all across Charleston.
Charleston has long been known for its hospitality, but it’s also known for its flavors — rooted in a rich and layered culinary history that continues to inspire chefs, makers, farmers, and storytellers.
One thing I’ve learned working in this industry: where there is passion, there can also be despair. When you care deeply about your craft, the highs are incredible — but the lows can feel heavy. The beautiful part of this community is that you never carry it alone. This city shows up for one another. It lifts you when you need lifting and fills your heart when it needs filling.
I’m so honored to live and work in a place that does both.
What an incredible way to spend a long weekend in Charleston. I am beyond inspired by the incredible talent we have as well as the incredible chefs that were welcomed to be a part of this festival. If you’ve never attended, you’re truly missing out.
Save the date: March 3–7, 2027. We’ll be ready to welcome you. 🍍🥂💫

Forks up, fam…the scholars did their BIG one at the @chswineandfood festival.
Our Culinary High School Scholars weren’t just there for the vibes… they were working.
These students ran multiple Snack Shacks at Culinary Village (yes, the ones keeping y’all fed between dance sessions at the silent disco), and assisted chefs at some of the festival’s biggest events including Shucked, Street Eats, Opening Night, Toasted, and the Finale.
Plating. Prepping. Supporting chefs. Helping keep events running smoothly. Basically doing the real deal hospitality work that makes a festival like this possible.
And let me tell you…they showed up ready. Professional, curious, hardworking, and absolutely holding their own in rooms full of chefs and industry pros.
The future of the culinary world?
Yeah… they’re already in the building.
Show the scholars some love in the comments, they earned every bit of it. 👏

I don’t talk about this much, but I went to the College of Charleston and ended up studying art. It was a lost girls answer to life.
I just didn’t know exactly who I wanted to be — I knew I wanted to write, to paint, to express something I couldn’t quite name yet.
Along the way, I slipped into hospitality. Food & beverage. My own business and then a “real” job. And I don’t regret any of it ...it built me. But, my creativity went dormant.
Then in 2025, something that had been stirring, poured out.
Paint. Flowers. Markers. Tiny heart-shaped leaves I’d find on walks. Color started calling me again.
I remember sitting across from D of @artofbing over a cappuccino — that conversation felt like a doorway. A permission slip to return.
I’ve gone down a lot of roads searching for meaning. Chasing purpose. Trying to prove something. And what I’ve found is that creativity is my way back to myself. My way back to love. My way back to God —
Creativity is alive. Like the Word. LIke the sun. 🌞
If something inside you is nudging you — paint it. Write it. Start it.
✨
One of the things Hospitality Revival is built on is this truth:
the people who pour it all out in this industry are often the least supported.
That’s why partnering with leaders like Alexis matters.
We are currently working inside her kitchen — offering mentorship, presence, and curated experiences for women in hospitality who are hungry for guidance, growth, and community. Not just skills, but care. Not just productivity, but purpose.
Alexis is a leader because she sees this. She understands that kitchens can be places of community — not just output. That service, when it comes from the heart, is sacred work. And that leadership in hospitality means tending to people, not just plates.
Hospitality Revival exists to pour back into those who pour it all out — and this partnership reflects a shared vision of service, stewardship, and care for the human behind the apron.
@mrsbythegraceofgrits , we’re grateful to be building something meaningful together. #hospitalityrevival #womeninhospitality #foundingmember #revivalboxes #burnoutrecovery
