some of our unhoused neighbors need help rebuilding after a fire.
you can lose everything in one crisis. lets help them rebuild and sustain their livelihood.
fuck capitalism. we all deserve a thriving life.
April's Mutual Aid Monthly features an incredibly important story. We are hoping that this newsletter can reach more people this month and would love for everyone to share it with others to spread the story (you can find the pdf on our website, icmutualaid.org). Johnson County MUST be held accountable and a new jail must NOT be built.
Free all prisoners. Fire to all prisons.

Angry Pack — Print Against the Machine — $30
The machine has always chewed people up and spit them out, and it’s now running in an even higher gear.
The artists of @icpresscoop 's Print Against The Machine stand up with art expressing the hope, care, anger, and actions that build the world we want here at home. The Angry Pack contains original art and goodies, locally made with love and rage. It is limited to 20 packs.
All of the proceeds from the sale of the Angry Pack will go to @icmutualaid . This local group of neighbors is building a better, more resilient community by providing support for basic necessities such as rent, utilities, groceries, transportation, healthcare; safety for our unhoused neighbors; connection for queer inmates; and more.
You can learn more about that work at icmutualaid.org and purchase the Angry Pack at @p_s_won 's ICE CREAM tomorrow, April 4, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Close House (538 S. Gilbert)

Last week we spent the last of our winter survival funds, but the temperature is dropping again. Help us push through to the end of the season! Donate at the link in our bio 🔥
Though spring is on the horizon climate change makes seasonal changes unpredictable — we could still be in for a cold snap and need to be prepared, but funds are running low. Excess donations at the end of the season will go to other camp needs.
If 500 people donate $5 we could raise $2500 to go to life saving community needs with no strings attached. Many hands make light work. Help out where you can!
February’s newsletter is out around town. Find it at the ICPL, New Pi Coop downtown, Prairie Lights Cafe, Kindred Coffee, and Kitty Corner Social Club.
Everything feels so important and urgent right now. We must lean into each other and build our capacity to help everyone. It feels so important to root ourselves in an international anti imperialist framework, while simultaneously focusing on what is happening right here in Iowa City. Our neighbors are sleeping outside on rocks, getting kidnapped, and dying all around us. Let’s get to work and lean into the community.
Featured in this post are the color versions of the art that we were able to run thanks to Jakara Zellner, @stateofjakara . This is powerful work and we feel lucky to print it in our newsletter. Thanks Jakara!
