Nikki is an actor and singer living in Chicago, as well as a cabaret veteran who has self-produced four original shows and regularly performs with Acts of Kindness Cabaret. Favorite roles include: Johanna in Sweeney Todd (Kokandy, 2023 Jeff Award for Best Production), Sarah Brown in Guys and Dolls (@janusconcertseries ), Rona Lisa Peretti in The 25th Annual…Spelling Bee and Miss Amelia in The Little Princess (both with Windy City Performs). THANK YOU ✨ to these wonderful people who came to the @musicboxchicago tonight (plus @andersonblough who took the first pic so I could be in it)to help me celebrate my birthday - it was my biggest fear that I'd only have three or four people show up, and I'm so glad you all came to eat cupcakes and watch a romcom with me. And an extra special thank you to the people who couldn't come but Venmo'd me anyway! I'm so lucky to have you all in my corner. ❤️🎂

I know this would be the perfect time to do a 2022 retrospective, but I spent 6 months working on Sweeney this year, so that's practically what this is anyway. I am so grateful that I got to know this group of people over the run of our little show that could - we took the time to actually enjoy each other's company in the moment, and it made us all better on and off stage. We could feel it in the room when someone was missing, we cheered for each other's applause and acting beats and high notes, and we supported each other offstage through sinus infections and hangovers and grief, and all of that made this the most incredible experience. For years I've been saying that if someone just gave me a chance to play a lead I knew I could do it, and getting the opportunity to step into Johanna for the last few weekends of our run allowed me to finally prove that point to myself. I felt so supported by this cast and the creative team and by friends and family who came out to see the show, and I'll be riding that high for a long time. Before Sweeney, I hadn't done a show since 2019, and I was starting to think I'd never do another one. I'm so glad I was wrong. 🥧❤️ lol remember when we were gonna close November 6th?
