It’s fantastic to be part of this landmark project in Newport.
Everything is progressing quickly, and we’re proud to have contributed by producing the aluminium wall cladding, which will form the external casing of this leisure and wellbeing centre.
This was all possible thanks to the hard work of our fabrication team back at base, who carefully prepared and assembled the aluminium elements for delivery to the site.

This is an example of a project that gave us a great opportunity to reflect on what was a truly collaborative delivery.
With multiple elements, this project highlights what can be achieved when the full ICB Group works together to provide a complete, integrated roofing solution backed by a single-system guarantee.
The process was challenging, but our team worked brilliantly together from start to finish to overcome any hurdles.

With production complete in our in-house fabrication facility, we’re now loading the aluminium panels for delivery to site. 🙌
The delivery of the first batch of cladding panels for the Newport Leisure Centre was successful thanks to a dedicated lorry in conjunction with our partner, Clarke Transport.
Only 2,293 panels left and 12 more trucks to go. 🚚
🔙 ThrowbackThursday to 2024 in Wimbledon, when the BMC Roofing team put in a brilliant effort to get this project finished in superb style. 👏
They expertly waterproofed the roof using the alwitra® Evalon VSK membrane and topped it off with a beautiful Sedum Green Roof system.
The ICB Fabrications' team also played their part by supplying and manufacturing the bespoke aluminium fascias and soffits in a Reed Green powder-coat finish. 🎨

⏭️ The final stage for Newport Leisure Centre.
Our aluminium panels move into the powder coating phase, where they’ll be spray-painted for a consistent, high-quality finish that’s built to last.
From there, it’s carefully packed and prepared for delivery to make sure everything arrives on site ready for installation. 📦
Over in Brighton, a cottage in Hurstpierpoint village has benefited from a complete roofing solution delivered through collaboration across the ICB Group - all under a single-point warranty.
ICB Waterproofing provided the alwitra® Evalon VSK single ply membrane, while ICB Projects supplied the EVA green roof system. 🌿
ICB Fabrications manufactured bespoke aluminium elements, including TAG450 profiles to the roof and balcony, alongside hoppers, downpipes and window reveals. These were all finished in black to complement the building’s design.
The multiple solutions across the ICB Group were seamlessly installed by Johnsons Roofing, highlighting the integration of waterproofing, green roofs and fabricated aluminium to deliver a long-lasting solution. 👏
⏭️ Up next is the metal treatment stage for Newport Leisure Centre.
Each aluminium panel undergoes a rigorous 7-stage pre-treatment process, designed to thoroughly clean and prepare the surface. 💧
This treatment provides optimal powder adhesion and long-term durability before the panels are transferred to our powder coating facility.
And then there were two! 🚚🚚
A great stop-off at the Clarke depot today, where we spotted not one… but two ICB-branded lorry trucks that have been delivering goods to our customers for over 15 years.

Our Fabrications team has spent the last week manufacturing and assembling these acoustic baffles for a church in Bognor Regis. ⛪
Each set consists of 7 panels pop-riveted together, with the insulation sitting inside the trays to suppress sound and improve the acoustic performance of the space. 🎶
The panels have been finished in a pearl gold colour using our in-house polyester powder coating facility, with each panel measuring 3.7 metres high and 1.035 metres wide.
After being assembled at base, the acoustic baffles will be installed by Godfrey and Hicks by the end of this week.
We can’t wait to see the final result! 💪
After delivering several CPD sessions at the Ellis Belk Associates Ltd offices, we were delighted to invite them to our Poole office.
Ellis Belk Associates and a few other local industry professionals came down for a tour of our facilities and a session on our latest RIBA-approved CPD on Solar PV. ☀️
We started the day in our ICB Fabrications unit, showcasing our laser-cutting machinery, bespoke metalwork capabilities, and the in-house expertise behind every project we deliver.
After lunch, our Technical Manager, Lorrayne, delivered our Solar PV CPD, which explored the latest industry insights and trends shaping the future of solar.
