Hi everyone!
I'm Sara, and I carve dead things!
I use locally sourced cattle bone to make jewellery, decor, and artwork themed around everything occult, spooky, gothic, nerdy, and dark!
All pieces are sealed with a lacquer to prevent wear, and necklaces are sanded smooth on the back of the pendant (I personally like using them like worry stones! Bone can be so smooth!).
In Spring 2024 I started carving bone as a hobby, and after working on gifts for people, I decided to start offering carvings for sale and as commissions! Currently my carvings are available at @glitterbabyhairstudio in Oshawa, Ontario!
I'm still new to carving, so I'm really looking forward to seeing how my skills improve over time! I hope you enjoy looking at my weird lil' carvings

The Unmaker Rosary
Made with wire and black jasper beads, this piece features both an inverted eye of providence, and an inverted cross carved out of cow bone. Each piece of bone was burned to add colour, and sanded smooth to assist with sensory sensitivities and to aid meditation.

Getting a cloud of bone dust in the face is all part of the job 💀
This is why it's important to use proper safety equipment when working with bone, and especially if you're using power tools to do so. Bone dust gets everywhere, and I'm often covered in it by the time I'm done carving for the day, so using a ventilator mask is essential. Safety glasses are a must as well to prevent shards from flying up in your face.
