Had the pleasure of speaking with dear @gemmajanes (@sendb00ks ) on “The Choice”.
We talked about the choice to make and publish books as women, publishers, and artists — and about the privilege of being readers. About literature as a way to reclaim our lives, how it resonates with the times we live in (fragmentary prose, essays), and how books can also become anchors for a reality we must strive for — pebbles on our path toward freedom and liberation.

Philomène travaille ses films comme des collages, en se servant de sa vie, de ses rencontres et de ses expériences comme matière première et terrain de jeu performatif. Collectionneuse, archiviste, elle entretient des journaux et des atlas d’images qui alimentent chaque pièce de son travail, chacune poreuse les unes avec les autres.
