1,100 applications. 103 countries. 324 young people selected. We are so excited to announce the @iborganization 2026 Global Youth Action Fund cohort. 110 projects across 44 countries. 15 countries joining for the first time. Every one of these projects was already happening before we got involved. These young people saw problems in their communities and started solving them. The grant just helps them go further. In a time when it is easy to feel like nothing is changing, this cohort is proof that it is. Quietly, locally, persistently. @iborganization backs youth-led action with funding, workshops, and a global community. Up to $3,000 per project and a full year of support. To every awardee: we see what you are building. And we’re lucky that we can be part of your journey. You give us hope. Keep going.

Each member comes with their own context, questions, and lived experience, contributing insight and perspective into how the IB continues to evolve. You will also hear from Jennifer Bahrami and Tim Logan (Co-leads of IB Festival of Hope), who reflect on why creating spaces for youth participation and connection is essential to the IB and its wider youth initiatives. We would like to celebrate the achievements of all 23,392 students worldwide who have reached the important milestone of receiving their Diploma Programme (DP) and Career-related Programme (CP) results from the November 2025 examination session. “These IB graduates have shown remarkable resilience and dedication. As they prepare for higher education, careers, or service to their communities, they can be confident they possess the skills and global perspective that will allow them to thrive. We are immensely proud of their efforts and will no doubt take further pride in their future achievements, built on a foundation of compassion, creativity, and critical thinking.” - Olli-Pekka Heinonen, IB Director General

Three years. Ninety countries. Twelve thousand students. Three years ago, the @iborganization asked the question “How do we turn challenges into action and inspire hope?” As a response, we launched the IB Festival of Hope. Since then, over 12,000 young people across 90 countries have stepped up to lead, create, and act on what matters most to them. From North Carolina to Jakarta, Lima to Bologna, the Festival of Hope has become a global movement powered by youth voice, courageous inquiry, and purposeful action. This new video marks the three-year milestone of the Festival of Hope. It celebrates not just what has been achieved—but what is still to come. Watch now and explore how students, educators, and communities are building a more hopeful future together. #festivalofhope

“When teachers become co-creators of learning rather than deliverers of curriculum, something powerful happens. Children don’t just absorb knowledge—they build it, they test it, and eventually, they own it. Pedagogy is not about method; it’s about movement. And that movement begins when we trust teachers and their students to shape learning together.” - Dr Modupe Olateju, Fellow of Brookings Institution’s Center for Universal Education Day 2 of the IB Global Conference, The Hague 2025, is almost over! Thank you to Dr. Modupe Olateju for your thought-provoking keynote speech, and to everyone who joined us today as we discovered, connected, and drew inspiration from the fellowship of our global community of educators. #ibgc2025
